Why is this a bad thing? We double dip in the second round by giving up a 5th and grab a guy who most likely wouldn’t have been there by our pick. I think Jets grab him

Yup, I think after watching the mini-run on safeties early in round 2, Carolina had to get their guy before the next small run happened after our selection.

The message that the draft "just fell that way" is a unified story that comes from the Panthers as a whole, not just Marty. And that's who the "BS" is directed toward.

Why is it BS to think the Panthers didn’t go into the draft necessarily intending on drafting all defense? That seems pretty obvious to me unless you’re a conspiracy theorist. Why even waste a second scouting a single offensive player then lol. You saying you think their entire draft board was only defensive players too?

If you care to "step off your soapbox and take a breath" and think logically for a second, here's a simple question:

If this were meant as a slam of Hurney, why would I have any issue saying so? 

If that were my true intent, what would stop me given that I think Marty is a horrible GM and I'm perfectly comfortable saying so any time I feel like it?

In this thread, I called bullsh-t on a statement I see as being made by the Panthers as a team, not Marty as an individual. Hence, why the thread title doesn't use Marty's name. Nor did I mention him by name in my response. And heck, it's not like anybody else from the team is contradicting the message.

So yeah, there are some "creepy stalkers" in this thread, but I'm not one of them. That title goes to you and a couple of others who have a thing for me. There's no way we went into that draft intent on drafting all defense. I definitely think we went in with a desire to heavily focus on defense, but all 7 being defensive picks? Nah, it just worked out like that. I 100% believe them on that one.
