JJ article has notes in it today.  This podcast with him he said the same in November.  Yes, "his sources" told him this.  He is also Sr NFL reporter for CBS...not David Newton.

Besides Mr Scot pushing the conspiracy, not one source or one bit of evidence to collaborate.  It's like I am in a Trump forum.

Except I'm not "pushing" the theory. I'm acknowledging that it exists, and that it's possible.

Reading Comprehension Tip: The sentence "there's a theory that the Panthers could be moved to South Carolina" denotes the existence of a belief. It does not say that belief is true.

As to the contract, it's not available to the public. Everything we have on it is from sources. So who knows? Frankly, who cares?

The days of erecting monuments to idolize racists should have been gone! Glorifying, much less idolizing, people of racist sentiment should have never happened. It wasn't a good look in the 20th century, and it's certainly not befitting of  the 21st century or any time moving forward.

I always thought it would be cool if we had more Panther cat statues around. Would be dope to have a few prowling or perched along the top of the bowl around the stadium.

They should have panthers coming out of the walls in the opponents’ locker room and showers for intimidation

Being upset about it a realizing you did something wrong are completely different. No one gives two shits about the former.

It was literally just posted a day ago JR stated he has always fought for equality and treated everyone fairly despite a 3 million fine from the NFL, selling the team, and paid off people with non disclosure statements...he seriously does not think he did anything wrong, who gives a poo if he’s upset about that.

He should offer a public apology for his mistakes, period which we know he won’t do. fug him

I'm saying I think he's extremely up set, but not sorry about his actions.

We got rid of a statue of the guy that gave us a team before we got rid of Marty Hurney.

He didnt deserve a statue IMO but yeah the way people are poo pooing him all of a sudden is pretty short sighted.   He did make it his life goal to bring football to Charlotte.

I don't buy for a single second that Richardson suddenly changed his mind or saw the error of his ways.

The more likely scenarios would be that either his people told him he couldn't win, Tepper paid him off or, as was theorized at the time of the sale, there was never really a contractual obligation to begin with.

Regardless, the statue of Ozymandias is never coming back.

Like NASCAR, Jerry didn't have a choice.

Zero chance Tepper paid him anything.  100% there was a contractual obligation.

Things change...

...and contracts often become passe (especially in the NFL) and are renegotiated or completely voided (as was the case here).
