Many with serious pre-existing health concerns would say no..

With 1 million dollars, I am sure many of those who have pre-existing would not say no. Things to consider: those of age, would take the money to hand down to their children. Those who are young and pre-existing conditions would be able to still make money and survive with the right medical assistance.

Living is significantly more important than money, especially for those who are already comfortable financially.

People with pre existing conditions have been risking it (without a choice) this whole time for far less.

Right it’s all a matter of risk management and personal choices. The question was posed $1M to “most likely get COVID.” Of course many people are doing things that risk them getting COVID, but those who are high risk are trying to minimize that risk and be safe about it, not doing things that will “most likely” give them COVID.

I would... for a chance at getting it? Getting it is 1 thing, the mortality percentage is much lower than that of contraction.. I would absolutely put myself at risk for the betterment of my wife & kids, even if it meant I wasn’t around, they mean more to me than I do...  besides, the odds of it being fatal are slim, I’m betting with the under....

No. At my age the time is more important to me than the money. And before anyone says that quarantine time is not quality time I will politely disagree. I worked my entire life to get to this point and the time I am spending with my wife these days is the big payoff. Can't go to a restaurant as often? Have to wear a mask in public?  Can't go to a bar and see a band? Can't go to a 3 day Phish run at MSG? For me, those are minor inconveniences if it means I get to spend one more day with her.

This is really sweet.

For 1 million dollars would you take part in an activity that would most likely give you Covid 19?

Yes.  Of course I would.  I am a relatively young, healthy person. No conditions that make me high risk.  Ive done a lot worse for a lot less money.
