Because this isn’t madden, you don’t go into the season without a QB that can allow you to assess what you have first of all, and secondly one that your young guys can learn from system wise and character wise. TB is exactly that. Thirdly, you set your new coaches up for failure, it will set a bad tone for the young guys coming up and needed to be avoided.

Lastly, I’m not sure what QB contracts you’re looking at but 20 million a year is not a lot...at all.

Starting someone like Grier and full on tanking would have been extremely detrimental to the rebuilding process from a lot of angles, believe it or not.
