Blocking Technique (watching Penei Sewell)

Sewell has long been my draft wish list #1. I didn't see the top 3 QBs making it past the Jets, Jags, WFC, Cowboys (Sorry Dak), Falcons, or Philly. I saw us somewhere between 7-9 draft position. Not sure he would last that long but if he did, he should be just as fast a pick as Gross. Won't happen but I can dream.

I would completely be willing to trade up to get Sewell.

Found it, I think it's Daniel Jeremiah who quoted this.

"He had a very good battle against the talented Auburn defensive line in last year's season opener, winning the majority of his one-on-one matchups." Jeremiah noted, "However, Derrick Brown -- the seventh overall pick in this year's draft -- did beat him a couple of times. On those plays, Sewell's hands were too wide and Brown was able to get control of Sewell's chest to knock him back."

Sewell’s dominance at left tackle protecting quarterback Justin Herbert has been on full display this season. He finished the regular season as PFF’s top-graded offensive lineman in the nation with a grade of 95.9, while is 95.5 run-block grade was also tops in the country. In 466 pass-blocking snaps this season, Sewell has allowed just seven pressures and no sacks. He has put together eight games without allowing a pressure, hurry or hit on the quarterback. His 92.2 pass-blocking mark ranks second nationally.

DJ has Slater over Sewell right now. DJ was high on Becton last year before everyone else.

The more guys that jump up the better for us.

I also recall reading the Panthers were on hand for the Michigan/Minnesota game. I’m sure they were watching a couple of guys but were paying extra attention to Jalen Mayfield

Whining about winning the 3rd game of the season? Just get a Jets jersey.

Whoever we would draft with this tanking strategy you would just want to trade away.
