Just find it interesting that there was a lot of talk about Hurney moving to a new position within the org and now, he's fired.

Wonder what changed/who he pissed off?

Either way, although the timing is a bit strange (Merry Christmas, Marty), it was a long time coming.

Has this been the perfect season?

- Team is WAY more competitive than we thought they would be, or they have any reason to be.  We can confidently say we have a good group of coaches

- Young players all made progress this year, other than a select few (ie Ian Thomas, Greg Little), which probably says more about those players than it does our coaches ability to develop given the success of all of our young players on the defensive side

- And yet, despite all that, we're still in position for a top 5 draft pick and possibly QB Justin Fields, and Marty Hurney got fired

Couldn't have asked for anything more, other than I guess the #1 overall pick.  But I'll take the comfort of knowing we have a good staff on board over that.  Jets and Jags don't even know who they would have coaching Trevor Lawrence this time next year.

I look forward to seeing who will replace him.  I am not excited about the idea of a coach with all the power, I'd like to see someone with NFL experience brought in to balance the office out.

I said it before and I will say it again,  from what I understand it was Marty’s idea to get Teddy. This maybe the result of that bad decision along with the failure of Greg Little and other wastes of draft capital.
