Trade down

Why don’t we trade down with San Fran and get an extra second rd draft pick. Then we still might be able to get lance and work on drafting a ol. I like the whole line of Alabama to go with Morton and trade Samuel for a second or third pick.

You can’t trade a free agent....

Clever troll or truly lacking in clue?  I can't tell.

We are not drafting a QB this year. People need to start realizing that before they get their feelings hurt. We had our best chance at getting a franchise QB in Justin Herbert last year. We chose not to trade up for him. Teddy Bridgewater 2021.

You keep saying this but I don't see a realistic scenario where we would have traded up and taken Herbert. Tua was #2 on almost everyone's board. If we really wanted to trade up, we'd probably have traded up with the Lions or Giants to leapfrog both the Dolphins and Chargers for a qb. Neither Miami nor the Chargers would have traded with us. They both wanted to draft qbs themselves. And if we did leapfrog them, I think like most teams we would've been inclined to take Tua. Now imagine we did that and traded away this year's 1st. Thats the more realistic outcome and I for one am glad we didn't.

    • Does he not already do that? The go route stuff is to just make space for the constant dink and dunk. That's why it dries up near the 20 where it gets tough.  Difficult to defend? Just get up in scores and lean into it. If they can send pressure without going too soft in coverage it will work agaisnt the Panthers.  I still think the offense is a QB away from instant improvement.
    • I don't know how about 5 at this point. I think that window has closed. Getting the easy stuff early and being notoriously unprepared every year is blowing up in their faces. 3 might be the max. Good Bryce shows up when the other team is having a practice game or an off weak after watching our film. It's basically a sucker punch to teams mailing it in. Groundhog day? More like Groundhog year again
    • It's a weak take like it was a weak game. It was garbage time against backups. That's his shine time. It's should be made fun of because it was pathetic. The WRs were gassed? What about the backup DBs? Those guys must have been really tired since they sit on the bench most of the time. Take that BS and go whine to someone else. man or zone they played off the line and back 10 yards in soft ass coverage. That and practice is all Young is good at. When the other team plays like they want to win he shuts down. Same as last year. Blah blah blah
