He is. I think he's the most intriguing QB prospect at the Senior Bowl.

I don't want to come down on Jones too hard. He's very smart. He's very accurate. He could definitely help himself in the Senior Bowl environment where he's removed from his dominant roster helping him. But, he's very limited physically. His arm is average. His mobility is non-existent. I mean, those things are true of Tom Brady too, but there's a very, very long list of disappointing NFL QBs who fit that criteria and only one Tim Brady.

I know he sat out, and I know he has been inconsistent in the past, but if he hadn't sat out and played decently well it isn't crazy to think he couldn't have moved into the first round this year.

Everyone is making a big deal about coaching Jones, but I think most teams have a pretty good idea on him, but Newman is the bigger unknown.

I feel like I’m in the twilight zone here.

In a QB dominated league, no team willingly cuts a good QB loose.

He’s obviously hot garbage now if they are so willing to let him walk.

You don’t give up high picks for a QB like that.

Deal!  This team competes with Stafford.

- Add Stafford, pick 40 and 2022 1st

- CMC back healthy

- Young defense had no rookie camp, no pre-season, very little training camp, and all this while having a new coaching staff and system last year. They will be better going into next year.

You do if you're rebuilding and have the #7 overall pick in a stacked QB draft. At #8, we could be on the outside looking in on the run of elite QB prospects.

    • Also, the fact we are comparing this one to the 10 preseason tells me we are in for another horrible year.
    • Well, they're both in the same league (if you will). During preseason, Fitz went 3/3 & Sauls went 5/6, but of course Sauls was 4/4 last night (including one 50+). Both were Lou Groza Award finalists. I believe Fitz made two 55+ yarders last season, while Sauls led the nation with three. Fitz was 13/13 (💯) while Sauls was 21/24 (87.5). Fitz was a 3rd-Team AP All-American, while Sauls was a PFF All-American.  Career-wise, Fitz was 58/74 (78.4), while Sauls was 52/64 (81.3). I wish that I could see the attempts and knew the depth of yardage. I wish that we could compare practice kicks during their training camps, but we can't. Maybe someone with a PFF/CFF account can give that Basically it's just a matter of belief I guess. Seeing dude knock down four FGs and go perfect during a pressure-filled game for him is damned impressive if you ask me. I don't believe that Fitzgerald could do that.  That being said, I'd have to know more. I will say that it may be worth mentioning that we seem to like PFF this year and Sauls being a PFF All-American may be notable. Now that being said, the Panthers may not be even considering Sauls.
    • Ive said it 1000x times on here.  Our 2025 season will be dictated by the first 4 games.  poo the bed there and lose all confidence and momentum, we win 5 games maybe.  Go 2-2, 3-1 we got a look at 7/8 wins
