Stafford-Goff swap is happening

Boy Rams will be fun here in 2 or 3 years. Stafford is 33, Whitworth is 39. No firsts to replace them. It really is win now for them.

I think they took Goff to get rid of the contract--so the deal was Stafford for the picks and ridding us of this bad contract.  They may not draft a QB at #8, however, because they have needs. 

Here is what I would do--you have Goff and Chase Daniel.  If Goff does not work out, NEXT year you have 2 or even 3 first rounders to move up for anyone you want.  Build around Goff and see what you have in this system--give him some weapons, etc.

They could TRADE back with the #7 pick, or even trade up--but I see them taking a WR at #8.  Chase is my guess--if there.

That probably got them an additional 1st and maybe the 3rd. But Goff and a 1st for Stafford was probably legit, regardless of the contract

So this firmly in my mind, put the lions in a trade down if a QB is there at 7. They will see what they can squeeze out of another team and try to browns it. Aquire mad capital and try to cash it all in at once to compete with a cheap core. Then fill the gaps with FA.

Sounds like they did have offers of a 1st this year from multiple teams.

All those suggestions of us offering a 2nd or 3rd seem pretty stupid now.
