What was the Texans' record last year? An elite QB is crucial, but it takes a team - a concept that may be compromised by the loss of assets and cap.

Texans tanked because they are a Evangelical grift posing as a football team.

ESPN got a ton of attention on that Newton prediction.

This is nothing more than trying to cash in again.

This is Yates' rationale (as quoted by Weaver)

“I’ve been on record forecasting Watson to Miami, but recently my tenor has changed with more support from the Dolphins for Tua Tagovailoa and the Panthers’ previous aggressive pursuit of Matthew Stafford. . . Houston has no interest in trading him away right now, but we know this has already been ugly. If you ultimately trade away a franchise quarterback, moving him to a team you play once every four years is preferred to an in-conference foe (assuming the offers are comparable).”

Regardless of where you stand on the Watson trade, that line of reasoning is pretty weak.

AN ELITE QB IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN 2-3 FIRST ROUND PICKS

Obviously, but there's definitely a cutoff point where the value won't make sense. 3 first round picks, Burns and another piece is too much in my eyes, if that's what they want. Burns is worth 2 first round picks easily. 5 first round picks (1 of which is guaranteed to be top 10 in a loaded QB draft) plus more just doesn't make any sense for us, even to get Watson. I'd much rather take a shot on a rookie QB and have him on that cheap contract plus keep the rest of our pieces to build around that guy if the price for Watson is that high.

How is that reasoning weak?

    • I know it was obvious and I know the ref is to blame! But KB is a bum and my original post was about the situation in its entirety. You are right, he did touch him and that's why I said lay down on him to make it obvious. But KB did everything half assed and that is why he had less than a five year career. But the way Cam supported that kid and the way he ended up acting in the end is a dark spot on the franchise. It just doesn't sit well with me and never will. He literally left here talking about ball placement from a league MVP.
    • The Lee Hunter interview with Sheena Quick almost murdered me. That man said he had a 5 years old and a 2 munt year old!! 😂 and all of a sudden I couldn’t breathe!!
    • DLine has to be 50-79 or 90-99. So it’s likely to stay 92 over 62 or 52. Scourton and Phillips can wear a poo ton of numbers as “linebackers”, but the war daddy’s are still pretty limited.
