Patriots are signing Cam and trading for Teddy. They see Buffalo getting former Panther players, and say hold my beer while we snatch those QB's

The plan is to let Teddy play from the 20 to the 20, then Cam will enter in the red zone to finish it off.

Not a bad plan actually

Given he only made about $1 million there isn't much potential there for a comp pick. It would be very easy to cancel him out with any signing.

Thats... not how comp picks work. Previous years salary has no bearing on comp pick formula.

Would be completely dependent on the contract he signs THIS off-season with another team.

Other than weapons and poor qb play the Patriots are actually a really good team and well coached. They don’t need much to contend.

Yep, a QB and 2 receivers and they would be right back in the mix.

They will need to get younger in the secondary soon, but those guys still have a couple years left in them

Edelman had a career high receiving yards in a game with Cam as the QB. Edelman spent a decade with Tom Brady, but after only a few weeks with Cam, had a career high in receiving.

Jimmy G's Super Bowl year he accounted for 28 TD - 13 giveaways ..

Cam this past season accounted for 21 TD - 11 giveaways

So Jimmy net 5 more TD in a Super Bowl year, than Cam did in his supposed 'awful' 2020

Yeah, Cam had to rush for TD's because NE literally had the worst collection of TE/WR's in NFL history ..

Yes, the 2020 New England WR's and TE's = worst group in NFL history .. yet, Cam won more games than Matt Ryan amongst others.

Cam's running ability alone is what made NE a 7 win team .. without Cam that dumpster fire team wins 2 games. Brady left because the cupboard was bare.

Quoting a game vs a bottom 5 Seahawks defense on there third string FS.

I wish Cam nothing but the best

he gave everything he had

IMHO there isn’t a person in the Huddle who should be bad mouthing him

There isn't a soul alive who would not be badmouthed by someone on the huddle.  Nature of the beast so to speak.  And fwiw, the huddle is no different in that regard than most other social media sites.

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
