There is still a lot of value in Free Agency.

Who knows who we're going to end up with, but we have options. None will be obvious slam dunks, but players like Mackenzie Alexander, Jacquiski Tartt, Breshaud Breeland, Keanu Neal, Malik Hooker and more than a few others at WR or perhaps an old guy at TE could help us this year to focus on the BPA during this year's draft. If we hit paydirt, maybe we can look into longer terms.

We may be waiting for the next rush of signings to find the next value level.

I've got my eye on Jaquiski Tartt S and/or Quinton Dunbar CB

I think Corn is an RFA so maybe we bring him back, would actually really like to see him back.

Offense wise:

WR: Josh Reynolds

team is probably looking to go safety in the draft, rhule got pretty attached to some guys at the senior bowl, unless they plan on playing Chinn more at LB and they need both spots, which I think would be a mistake

You can move Chinn around as much as you want but when it's all said and done he needs to be primarily classified as a safety

With the way things have fallen so far through free agency, outside of drafting a QB, I think Kyle Pitts makes a lot of sense as BPA. Possibly a CB if we don't address that in free agency.

Kyle Pitts is the BPA.. but Joe Brady Offense does not respect TE... Someone tell Joe Kyle Pitts is a WR or somthen ... if we can get wilson or lance and Pitts I’d pay a Watson trading price for it !!!!!

    • Kalkbrenner and Sion James received regular contracts and not two ways, so the Hornets have some work to do to cut the roster size down.
    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
