Tua would be great. Also he is a lefty so Moton would be protecting his blind side which is perfect.

I’m not saying this was a mind blowing comment for me but I damn sure never thought of that before haha. Definitely a plus!

If Lance was gone before, I’d strongly consider that 8 for Tua and 18 offer.

If we walked away with Tua, Jaycee Horn and Richie Grant after 2 rounds, I’d kiss Fitty on the mouth

I’d take him out to a nice dinner AND call him the next day.

I know this sounds lame but Tua is left handed .. if he was more of an xfactor I would not mind .. but Makikg the oline and receivers switch up I think would be a step back ... but I’d take him vrs what we have now and also if it’s cheap

That would actually be beneficial to us with Moton being our best tackle. We could keep him on the right side where he is more comfortable and he would protect the blindside.

I don’t think it affects the line and receivers that much. Vick was lefty and so was Steve Young. The Eagles players looked better than ever Vick’s first year and the Niners didn’t miss a beat when Young became their starter. These guys are the best of the best a minor tweak like that won’t hurt then too much. Plus Tua is young and would be leaning our system. It would take a year or two for the offense to hit its stride regardless more than likely.

Those guys were xfactors !!!! Tua seems like a game manager Atleast right now ... we need to be looking for guys that can win it all at qb.. if the qb can’t be elite we need to move on till we find one .. Tua ain’t that as if now .. but lefty’s I don’t mind if they are xfactors .. and I do agree we have a good RT todo it .. but we also need to be making the oline as talented as possible

Not that big a fan of Tua.

My buddy and his uncle are HUGE DIE HARD fans of the Dolphins. He shared with me that Tua will be successful once they surround him with weapons. Last year they had 3rd string running backs, and 2nd tier WRs with no one spread out the defense. They expect Tua to have a huge year....

I am not a fan of Tua either, but watching some of the throws he made at bama.... it has to translate to the NFL at some point. I think this season we will find out.

Oh yeah the line should still be addressed, especially with Tua’s injury history. LT just wouldn’t be as important as it usually is. Still prefer Fields and Lance, but I don’t think this is a terrible option. Should also cost us less draft capital to acquire him if Miami pursues another option.

So do they think that Miami is going to hold onto him and go elsewhere with #3 or Trade Down?

They think Miami is going to trade back and take a WR or Pitts. Miami has shown under the new FO (and possibly the best FO in the league right now) that assets matter more than star power. Miami not signing Golladay and one year deal with Fuller, pretty much shows that WR/Play Maker is their first round focus.

They are doing for Tua what the giants are doing for Jones, put weapons around them, and then see if they are talented or not. That luxury is something Darnold never got.

(Bringing up Darnold bc i think we should consider sending a 3rd or 4th their way for him or go all in for the #3 pick)

I think Darnold needs a change of scenery.  I don' think he ever got an opportunity to really show what he could do,  If push came to shove, I would do the trade for a 3rd or 4th.  At worse case scenario he'd be a better backup than PJ Walker.

I definitely think we are trading up, Mia REALLY wants to trade down too as they covet one of Pitts, Chase, Smith or Waddle. Very high chance one or two of those guys is available at our pick

Unless SF or another team blows them out of the water with an offer I think we are likely trade partners.

I suspect this years first, second and next years first

    • I agree with this and I think it's worth mentioning too that Bryce is not consistent on his placement and especially velocity and that in large part is driven by his footwork. We all know XL doesn't have the best hands and I don't know that he can overcome that. Cam always had the heater that just hit your hands and sank into your grip, where Bryce has some that are harder thrown, some soft. Bryce stepping into a pass looks so much different than that hop throw thing he does. I think XL really needs to hit the jugs machine and start learning how to catch all these different touch passes. TMac and Coker don't have these issues. If XL doesn't get some work in he's going to be out of the league in the next couple of years.
    • I think most people like XL from a personal standpoint. I don't think he's stupid either. Although if we are being realistic he is lacking in football IQ at this point in time and it cannot be disputed that he has not taken working on his craft seriously at all times given the body of work on the field. It speaks for itself. I myself have defended him at times given the circumstances of our QB room. But he is now in his third year and 25 years old. We are not in a position as a franchise to go around babying anyone especially first round draft picks. He needs to take his position and his football career seriously or he is going to end up selling used cars somewhere. I hope he realizes this and takes an extended break from social media because that mess certainly isn't going to increase his net worth if he ends up out of the league. And these hanger on types will disappear quick too once that money dries up and it surely will eventually. We'll see how he responds.
