I would not trade up for a quarterback not named Lawrence or Fields. Not even for Zach Wilson. I want Lance, but if someone trades up to 4 for him, have at it. He'd go 25th overall most any other year and if we got him at 8, I'd think it was a reach but I'd support it.

I said at the beginning of last off season that the correct long term strategic strategy would be to go winless this year with the players we already had.

They shouldn't have been active at all last year in free agency. Every single win this year has hurt us.

A Superbowl win is the only thing that matters. This isn't Baylor where winning 10 games every year is success.

I don't put a whole lot of stock into the whole "tepper is a hedge fund guy therefore" approach to analyzing football moves

but all that for the third QB in the draft is the definition of a distorted market and at this point I'm not so sure they don't just sit back and let the cards fall where they may.

This sucks because it all but guarantees we aren't getting a top QB HOWEVER it pushes some elite prospects to our pick at 8. We really can't fug up #8 unless we reach for Mac.. We'll absolutely get an elite LT or lockdown CB1 or even generational talent TE. 

Do it and go all in for Sam Howell next year

We'd all take Sewell at 8 but if he gets past Cincinnati then we should ALL drive to the bengals stadium and burn it down.
