This team will more than likely not be bad enough to get a Howell or the OK QB next draft. You’d have to “trade the moon” next offseason to move up.

Yes but we’d see more of rhule with young players and see if fitt can fill the holes we have right now outside of a QB. If our OL is anything like last year(injuries were a huge issue last year and we signed two injury prone guys) putting a rookie QB behind them isn’t going to be the smartest thing this season.

However if it looks like we have a cohesive unit across the boards trading the moon becomes much more amicable, if we don’t suck. I’m not rhuling that out.

Well, might want to save that phrase for next season as we're watching Teddy throw games away again.

A fan base just wants two things..... either a Superbowl or the top pick in the draft.  One team will win the SB, one team will get the #1 pick in the draft. Thirty (30) teams will get neither. Players and coaches of every single team just want to win games, showcase their talents and make money.. they are not going to give games away to "please" the fan base.

Not only that but if we don’t get the top pick you think the team that does will just give him up? I try not to converse with harbingers because he is so big brain dumb. Sam Howell is a pipe dream. There were 4 legitimate franchise qb prospects this draft . We gotta hope for someone non Howell to be the guy while picking in probably 10-15 range.

Yep.

Not looking good.

Wilson is basically a lock at #2, Fields #3

    • In May of 2026, it looks like a challenging schedule...and it probably is.  I rarely listen to the "strength of schedule" conversations that light up social media this time of year. Each year teams improve and decline. I think there's chunks of the year we need to take care of business and the week 5 bye is not desired.  I do think if we don't hit the bye week at 3-1, it's going to be a major uphill battle given the schedule in front of us. This season falls on three people, regardless of schedule strength: Canales, Bryce, Evero.  Canales: Finally can truly coach all aspects of the team and not focus with gameday prep for OC duties anymore. He drives the bus and needs to get these guys in position to win each week. There's no way vets come in and put it on the line every week to watch our QB sh!t the bed (See: SF game last year). Bryce: Despite everyone's obsession with thinking Bryce is a guaranteed extension, I think this year will truly be his "prove it" year. If he comes out the way he has the past three years, I really don't see how vets and coaches can continue to put him under center long-term. He might play out that fifth year as the starter, but I think next offseason his long-term replacement is found. I also think there's no excuses with the weapons and commitment we've made on offense to insulate him with every possible weapon.  Evero: Best personnel he's had since he's been here...no excuses. Figure out how to blitz effectively. Figure out how to use CBs whose strengths are press/man. Figure out how to utilize a talented front-7 to get the hell of the field. Outside of FS and maybe....maybe ILB, there are few weaknesses on this unit.
    • Canales can never get his teams ready in the first week of the season so far. Hope that changes or Ben Johnson is going to take his azz to school.
