Player salaries keep skyrocketing but want to do the same amount of games.  I wonder if the League went to 15 games if they would take a huge pay cut? It's not an additional game anyway, as one preseason game got axed.  They just don't get to get paid for watching on the sidelines as the 2nd, 3rd and 4th string play in the last "tune up" game.

Because the cap keeps increasing due to league revenues skyrocketing outside of one pandemic impacted season. That's how the CBA works.

I don't need a lecture on the CBA,  I just pointed out that they are getting massive pay increases for the same work load. They should be glad the League didn't scrap preseason altogether and go to 20 games.

I wanted a rule change, that only teams at or above  . 500 should be eligible for the playoffs. Goodbye to that suggestion.

Evidently you do. That same workload has been driving revenue growth.

 2 preseason games for an extra regular season game? Sounds great. Did they keep an expanded PS and roster for this tho?

Starters only play a half or three quarters  of a preseason game. I doubt that will change.

They should’ve added another bye week.  More TV revenue for the NFL and more rest for the players.  I have a feeling they’re going to use that as a bargaining chip for when owners will want to go to 18 games.

 

I pity the poor fools who are first to go 0-17.
