Will Grier?

Was reading an article that came out earlier talking about Grier which spurred a few thoughts. Ultimately he seems to be forgotten about. We traded into the 3rd round to get him and he started the final two games in 2019 (When our O-Line was worse than last year) under Perry Fewell and threw 4 interceptions before being injured in the final game against the Saints. He was sacked 11% of his plays according to the article (posted below).

I think not having a pre-season last year hurt him. Also I think Walker is Rhule’s pet since they we’re at Temple together. Walker looked terrible when he came in at the end of the season and threw 3 INTs in one half. (1TD, 5INT total last year). Grier definitely has a stronger if not better arm than both Bridgewater and Walker (Definitely Stevens). What are your thoughts on him?

Also, why not have started Grier against the Lions and used as Primary back up, has more upside for trade this off-season if performed well.

All good, dude. I'm tracking with you! Worth a fight in camp at-least. How awesome would it be if he turns out to be great, or even serviceable...

People on here act like they attend every practice and every staff meeting.

Should've started him last year and not signed teddy. Best case he shows some promise and we got a decent QB. Worst case would've been a 2010 ish season netting us the first or second pick .

Exactly what I was going to say.  We also wouldn’t have 20+ million tied to a worthless qb heading into 2021

Exactly its one thing that will be a negative on this entire new org when they talk about a rebuild then bring in someone just like Rivera/JR would have done to get you to just a bad enough draft position to miss out on the top prospects at the positions you need the most.

New to the Panthers? I’ve followed the Panthers since Frank Reich was taking snaps.

Welcome.  It is a great place to interact and learn alternative perspectives. I break them down into 4 basic groups, and those who are these things probably have to look them up because they are only called these things behind their backs.  The rest of us know what these things are, so we laugh at those who don't know.

The four types of Huddler are as follows:

1.   The pillock

2.  The mumpsimus

3. The smellfungus

4. The Lickspittle

Of course, the complex Huddler is usually a combination of 2 or more of these, hard to detect at first glance.
