My head will explode if Fields is there and they don’t take him and drop that low

there is nothing about Darnold that screams ‘winner’

the panthers just had one reclamation project fail and that was with  someone Brady wanted AND knew his system

i’d hedge my bets and take Fields if he is there

I guess I had too many years of Fox passing on the likes of Aaron and Big Ben because he was happy with Jake

you are either getting better or you are getting worse in the nfl.

as far as Darnold, tape don’t lie.

There's no way the Pats are talking to us about potentially trading up from 15 to 8 for anything other than a QB. I know that there are many who are still dreaming about Fields but it's not going to happen. The writing's on every wall. Go ahead and accept it now and the draft will be much more pleasant.

I’d take their 2021 1st, a 2021 4th (they have four), 2022 1st, and 2022 4th

At 15, could be looking at Darrisaw, Horn, Surtain, Teven Jenkins, some good options. Wonder if we think Richie Grant is a 1st rounder? That may be a reach but you never know. Seattle had the rep for making what seemed to be slight reaches high up that worked out because they fit the team great.

I honestly don’t want to trade down.  With the QB run likely to happen before 8 we can get a premiere talent. If they make it a worthwhile deal, sure, but idk.  Normally I would be good with it, but this year is different with the uncertainty and QB heavy top.

    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
    • According to Scott Fowler, in an article about former Panthers announcer applying for a job with the Ravens... what that job pays, incidentally, when the Ravens posted it publicly they said the salary would be $4,000 to $5,000 per game. An NFL season consists of 20-24 games, including the preseason and potential playoff games, so it will end up somewhere between $80,000 and $120,000 a year. The person hired will be an independent contractor, which is commonplace in the NFL these days for team broadcasters, and also have other radio and TV hosting assignments.  https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article315839800.html
