Are the 49ers okay?

I mean, this could have been the plan all along. Secure a top-3 pick (Pitts/Sewell), send them Jimmy G and some other picks and get a HOF QB that still has some tread on the tires.

Esp if GB truly believes in Love as the QB of the future.

Fine (and I agree it's poo), but exactly what other picks would the 49ers offer? They traded their next three 1st round picks to get where they are now.

Feels like someone's been watching too much Draft Day.

If they got Aaron Rodgers they would have a dynasty instantly.

Eh, no. The Bucs are the current champs and should be pretty good. Then there is the Chiefs in the AFC. Plus there are the other contenders.  On top of all that, Rodgers is starting to get up there in age(37 now). How quick will he start breaking down and falling off despite just winning the MVP award. Brady is the exception, not the rule.

He hasn't played a single snap in the NFL...

Did Brady retire? I'm pretty sure he is still the best pure QB in the league.

Nah, he is in Tampa playing on an absolutely loaded roster.

Rodgers > Brady.   I mean, if we are just talking about the individual.  Team success is a different story.  Tampa built a better team.  Tampa > Packers.

How many records do each of them own? How many rings? How many years of high level play? Brady > Rodgers.

What does someone's past, their teams success and history have to do with a present day comparison of individuals?

in 2015 Cam Newton was a better QB than Peyton Manning.

Present day Rodgers is a better QB than Tom Brady.

Present day Brady just led his team and won another ring. Present day Rodgers was sitting at home watching the superbowl on TV.

To be fair, that arguably has as much or more to do with the present day Packers as it does present day Rodgers.

Specifically, the present day Packers who used their first round pick on Jordan Love.

    • The #Panthers explored the possibility of adding Jaire Alexander, but there was never an offer made, a league source told @theobserver.   https://x.com/mike_e_kaye/status/1935436577649401872?s=46
    • Yes I agree, the future RT could easily be christ. When he shocking re-signed here for the cheap, he said part of the reason was the OL coaching staff.  I've already thought too much about 2026. The RT has all the options, including resigning Motown. I was never a big fan, but he's solid and peptides and stem cells can fix a gippy knee. If he makes it though this year and wants to return, why not for 2 years 16 million?? Or like you said give the job to Christ or draft your RT...... that I feel is the best current method. With both OGs in the 20 million per cap range and Icky......ooooooooooo boy he could be the first 30 million per OLmen in NFL history. That's a huge portion of cap space for the OL, which I agree with, but in order to offset those 20 and 30 million deals... you need cheap rookie contracts. (unless Motown would take a huge pay cut and whoever the C will be).  This is the deepest OL I can recall in Panthers history.  I believe Morgan should try and trade either Kingston or Zavala.  I didn't even talk about Yosh, Tarquin, or Walton. Yosh is same age as christ and why not him as RT after good swing tackle years? Tarquin is a UDFA on the prayer program, 150,000 in guarantees and why not him in 2026? Walton seems to be a OL coach favorite, he followed the Tampa Bay staff here after 2 years there and add in one year here, he's stuck around for some reason. I think they need to spend very light on RT and Panthers have lots of options, I love it.
    • That better not be the case. They need to be ready week 1. The easiest part if their schedule is the first few fames
