Seriously though, your extra comment in the OP makes this question completely retarded. Of course every single Panthers fan would be pissed in that scenario, but it's a highly unlikely "what if." 

We could trade down with the Pats today and they could take Fields and whoever we take could wind up being a perennial All-Pro and Fields could wind up busting. We'd all be happy in that scenario. 

My thoughts on this trade happening today would depend on what picks we get in the trade and who we take, but ultimately I trust Rhule and company and we'd just have to wait to see how it plays out. If we pass up on Fields I'll be a bit disappointed since I really like him but I'll be fine with it as I trust Brady/Rhule and if they don't love Fields then I have no issues with them not forcing the issue.

Yeah in a trade down scenario where the team we trade with is getting a QB we need it to be a fleecing. These types of trades ALWAYS are at the time. We should be getting a future 1st, this year's 2nd and more frankly.
