I think the bears made a huge mistake by allowing their current regime to trade away future draft picks. In all likelihood this is their coach and gms last year with the team.

Also the bears maybe sold in the near future, they are not setup to succeed and I think Fields will look no better than the other QBs that have played under Nagy.

Our guys did not want Fields end of story.

...so you're saying if Fields is a bust, it's because of the bad situation he's been put in? Interesting.

Honestly I think that happens to a decent number of quarterbacks. It's been argued that's what happened to Darnold.

I think of David Carr as an example. I've long believed that he could have been a good NFL quarterback if his first few years hadn't suffered from such sh-tty coaching and team management on the part of the Texans.

Not necessarily, I'm just saying that Nagy isn't going to help. I think great players find a way. But there's a wide gulf between great and bust and all those guys in that gulf are definitely impacted by their situations. I mean, even great players are impacted but what I'm saying is that great players aren't gonna bust even if put in a shitty situation. Most highly drafted players go into some measure of a shitty situation.

Man, I'm going to have so much fun posting in November and December.

Same thing last year. Same bunch of idiots circle jerking and shitting on anyone's opinion they don't share (which they just derive their opinions from a holier than thou, above it all, the front office is always right).

Then November reality hits, same morons that post 200 times a day disappear, go on a "break", suddenly are busy, and "realize that football isn't as important to them" anymore. Again, reality is they talked mad poo all off-season, all early season, and can't take a hit back when reality smacked them in their Walmart sized foreheads.

But of course, they came crawling back when the front office gave them the signal it was okay  to not support Teddy.

This place is so foolish.

You'll be banned by then.

Looks and sounds like Sam's situation.     He came in as a rookie with Bowles being the lame duck coach, then Gase came in and the rest is history.

I'm going to bump this every time Darnold wins to remind you that you're wrong.

You do that sir, but I guarantee S.A.M is not the answer, never was, never will be.

keep believing is going be the new chant.

And I bet any win we have will credit to the defense..so I can see 4-5 bumps from you, but I doubt it will need it...with them so far in between.

Only way panthers slide with a winning record this year is a change at QB some point this season.

No matter what happens, this thread will not wind up making the OP look good.

I look good no matter how it shakes, I stand by my words...

S.A.M= SrryAMfer

Would he be getting the same endorsement from Mr.Scot if he was Geno Smith...I think not...

I'll take that bet and say you're going to be wrong because you said "ANY" win.

From this point forward, Tepper(making it public we needed a Franchise QB), Rhule(I believe in Cam, wait no Teddy, ok maybe Sam), and Fitterer(I really wanted to trade back, but now I'm the GM who pass on Fields)*And I know there's going to be some to say other GMs did but he was the first one that actually needed a QB and didn't get one*, are going to be tied to J.Fields his whole career anyhow...

They told the world Sam Darnold is better than Justin Fields, point blank.

Poo all you want...but ever time Fields win and Darnold lose I'm bumping this thread to remind myself, as a fan I got screwed.

Been a fan all my life, if you said at the beginning of last year who you want Teddy or trade the Jets for Darnold, though Teddy wasn't spectacular, he was a winner, and look what this franchise did to him. And now they want me to believe, they can turn a proven loser into a winner.

They was scared Fields was like Cam, all the credit would have went to him turning this franchise around. So they want to prove they can without a... let's say a versatile QB.

Horn can be Deion Sanders good, but Deion Sanders with a QB =Superbowls...

Darnold is only Young(notSteve) in age, but will fall like Troy(notAikman)

I'm always going be fan, but I feel the pain  that Browns, Lions, and yes the Jets felt all these years, knowing this is just the beginning.

If you didn’t want the “poo” you wouldn’t make this thread.  You did, you got Poo’d on.  It’s what you were after.  Now fug off.

Yeah. I think it’s ok to be looking at what happens with Fields in chicago compared to Darnold here. The staff made a decision that they’re gonna have to live with but it was a big decision for this franchise. Tbh fields landing in chicago might ease the doubts because that org is terrible with qbs. This isn’t something we are gonna know for certain after year 1 or even 2. We’ll see.

For some this will be evident immediately when one or a combination of these two things.

1. Darnold makes a bad throw/decision/interception

2. Justin Fields has a noteworthy highlight.

For some the verdict is in and now they will collect said evidence to support that opinion.  For the somewhat rational person your logic makes complete sense.

And there's that movable goal post.

Panthers win..."but they wouldn't have won without the defense!"

You're going to be a fun one to troll when Sammy doesn't suck. One of three things will happen when we start winning with Darnold ranked from least likely to most:

1) you eat crow

2) you try saying you were always a believer and just taken out of context when you realize you can't edit your posts to say differently

3) you just don't show up or create an alt and abandon this account all together to avoid embarrassment.
