Cam was great (IMHO) and i wish we still had prime Cam before he got completely broken apart playing fullback for Rivera. I wish prime Cam could have had Rhule to see what they could have done together. Cam grea year by year it seemed in watching him. He pouted less as he matured and lets face it was always a wonderful role model for the kids and community as well as treated the young fans so well. On the flip side of that Cam is gone now and we all have to move forward. BOTH crowds should move forward actually. The crowd who just hated Cam for BS reasons and the crowd who defends Cam no matter what for BS reasons which.

I really never get this.  Ron allowed Cam to be Cam.  Which was the right call IMO.   

You either allowed Cam to be special or you prevented it to maybe extend his career.  What do you think Cam wanted?

Ron should have held him back to a point plain and simple. Powering it up with middle with your franchise QB was stupid.

      Was just explaining this to some dummy named Willy in another thread. I think he was just smoking’ too much cheese.  This has been going on for ages. Trent dilfer got all the ladies and threw just as many TDs as interceptions. This was the more violent era of football. The soft mfrs wanna see the passing TDs but the truth is that ain’t what ultimately wins football games. It’s a STRONG D, and an unstoppable run game, with some passes to keep the defense honest, if a for a TD great. in fact I would venture to say that the two panthers super bowls consisted of the same except cam threw more tds than interceptions and could run like Jamal Lewis and priest Holmes. its a tale as old as time. Something all ball knowers understand.

      Ngl, as good as I felt about us after winning yesterday, when they showed the top NFC teams on SNF, I realized what a crazy year this is.  The NFC seems uncommonly top heavy.  As of today, we aren’t anywhere near playoff positioning, which at 5-4 seems very, very weird compared to most years.  I know things will shake out further as the season goes on and it likely won’t look the same, but I have the feeling it’s one of those years that you’ll need like 11 wins to get in as a wildcard. seems very like a very pantherish thing to rebound this year and that’s what it would take.
