That’s how I feel.

He is a tough guy, a football player. He will have his good and bad games but what he has, the guts and physical ability, it can’t be taught

I really don't want to regret passing him up bc I liked Jaycee, too...  but, QBs who can throw 70 yards and run 4.4 40s don't grow on trees and are rarely available to middling teams even if they did.  I also hate making it Darnold vs Fields, but Darnold has a hard road ahead of him.

If we could just keep the Justin Fields circle jerk to this thread that'd be fantastic.

I'm only interested in the Panthers.

Thanks in advance.

Im in favor of having an NFL section again so we can move all non Panther threads there.

We root for a team with seven successful seasons in a quarter of a century. I hardly think a thread like this in August is going to disrupt your ability to follow our team.

Not taking him set us back 5+ years.

I dunno about 5+ years but you take franchise type qbs when they fall into your lap. I think we still will have an opportunity. But it’s not looking good.

rhules mentality of Darnold+ Horn vs a qb draft pick is the type of mentality that can get you fired in the nfl. Love Horn and think he’s gonna be a baller but you gotta take the qb that has the ability to transform your franchise. Hope Darnold works out.

    • It's not sustainable,  although he deserve credit for the win also, as he made clutch plays as he does with every win we have.
    • As much as I would love to sit here and bash on Young.  I can't.   He is absolutely a part of this team winning.  He is the cool hand leading the offense along with the hammer, Rico.  He's making plays on 3rd and 4th downs, that are absolutely helping thus team win.  Is Bryce playing as well as we'd like? Nope. Although he had only 1 week off from a high ankle sprain.   No question he was 100% in the Greenbay game.  I'm not even sure where the team would find a clear upgrade over Byrce.  He is a leader.  In the 4th quarter, he has ice in his veins.  He is a part of why our team is enjoyable to watch again.  Without him, we wouldn't be winning.    Anyways.  Y'all enjoy yet another thread designed to tear down the man.
    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
