Sam goes 1-for-2 and @CarolinaPanthers halftime reporter characterizes it as "a very solid effort" and then says "hey let's watch Sam move into his new apartment"...!!!

Absolutely pitiful.

This snowflake has no chance...

We didn't see anything tonight to tell us if Darnold is the guy or not. I still have faith until proven otherwise. I agree the coverage of the team is pitiful

3rd downs are still an issue for both sides of the ball looking at the halftime stats.

Redzone is still an issue for the offense.

The defense is also creating turnovers though, so I'm not worried about them so much. The offense tho? The potential is there, just not finishing like the defense has.

Look around the league. Most of the playoff teams last year had 2 big contract wideouts. It’s the league norm now.

Without actually looking, I’d say at most maybe 4 of the 17 teams did last season.

and that is giving you Kelce and letting him be a WR

I think it is a match up thing. Robbie is by far our best speedster and deep threat. Marshall is our best redzone and 3rd down threat. DJ is good at breaking tackles and YAC, but some of the cheaper guys on the depth chart like sho Smith can bring these talents at a 1/4 of the price.

Maybe they would like to dangle DJ as trade bait?

    • They are 1 game behind .500 so I completely think they still feel confident at this point. Just look what 1 game vs Atlanta did lol. That's also why cleaning house would be a mercy at this point. I would put $5 down that they have been talking playoffs after the last game with phrases like 'turned a corner' and 'finally see daylight'. Throw in DC too with how he called that game
    • Yes I don't care that he has Bryce you devise a gameplan to disguise your weaknesses like good coaches do. He made a bottom 10 49ers defense look all world because he's stubborn and refuses to lean on the run game which is the strongest aspect of our offense.  49ers are the worst rushing team this season but every game they continuing lean in in the run because it sets up the pass in Shanahan's offense he's a great coach.  If we switch coaches the Panthers would have dominated the 49ers, coaching matters in this league, plus I dont think Shanahan would have Bryce Young as his Qb, he sat Trey Lance down and 49ers gave up just as much draft capital for him.
    • I’ve said it before, but I wish I had just one person at some point in my life that believed in  me with such unfounded conviction and were willing to put all of their assets and resources behind me in that belief the way this entire organization has with Bryce.  One fuging person.  And this dude has fooled an entire organization.  It is maddening.  And the thing is, for anyone else, even other NFL QBs, decision makers would have bailed, at minimum, after that 2nd year, many after the first 1-1.5 seasons.
