Actually our 3rd and 6th rounder have performed better.

He's on the right. His hand placement needs alot of work...worst case he'll be a damn good RG imo after he corrects a couple issues. + he's been out of football for a while.

It should ease the minds of many here because Christensen was a LT too and move to the right.  The difference is Christensen is showing promises on the right while Sewell is struggling.

Maybe some of the haters will relax a bit.

There were definitely some discussion that Sewell wasn’t as good as assumed and that Slater might go before him. It was the minority, but the Chargers may have lucked out two years in a row.

This would be a pretty big "first" for them.

That team is snakebit.

Well, when Slater slips and rolls up Herberts leg, we’ll know their luck ran out.

Maybe the football gods were mad about the Brees fiasco and they just had to get rid of Rivers to end the curse.

Hahaha...maybe so.  Or San Diego is cursed...who knows?

I'm still salty about Herbert I think.

Pretty sure if you look at Drew Brees playoff history, he might be the one that is cursed.

Sewell is 20 and Christensen is 24. Sewell has played a lot less football with him sitting out a year as well. I would reserve judgment on Sewell as I think his growth and development this year matters more than his play during the preseason.

    • I mean, I think you're being a little hyperbolic with the last statement, but point taken.
    • Pass rush was the biggest issue in tonight’s game, and we were tied for 28th in sacks this season. That is a major area of need that has to get addressed this offseason. I just don’t see a path where there’s a game changing QB you can bring in with where we are drafting and quality of veterans that will be available. We certainly can do better than Dalton as a backup, and should ideally have a developmental guy  (perhaps a day 3 pick this year). We have bryce for one more year on a reasonable contract and then I think 2027 is the year that you reset that position (unless he massively improves).
    • Agreed, honestly basically bringing this group back as a healthy unit would be alright.  Brady Christensen should be resigned to a very reasonable deal with him recovering from the Achilles.  Atleast we're alright at 4 of our 5 spots with Lewis, Mays, Hunt, and Moton, Nijman was decent.  While if we can snag a deal on someone, take a stab, however our resources need to go to Linebacker, Pass Rush and a real option outside Tmac (coker is amazing, but if we can get someone who isnt braindead opposite Tmac, we can fully unleash Coker AND Tmacs full potential, cant move him into the slot if racoon boy is out there licking doorknobs).
