This is to let you know, im a Jet fan, member of Jet Nation, wishing Sam the best in Carolina. Wanted the Jet's to keep Sam and draft Pitts, and hopefully gathering a few more picks. Been at war with Jet nation board members as to why Sam failed there.

Why did he fail…?

He had no support  around him. You couldn't hang your hat on any part of that offense and say Sam should have performed better because. Poor coaching. Poor recievers. Poor offensive line. No running game. No QB would have succeeded under those conditions

I think you’re on the right tract now.  Your GM was working against the QB rookie contract before he could fix the culture, the oline and draft some receivers.

Looks like Wilson will have a much better surrounding cast, including coaching, so he has a chance to succeed.

Don’t screw up my boy, AVT….how is Chuma doing?

Chuma has been hurt. Think he might be on the cut list. They're we're people on the coahing staff that wanted to keep Sam. Hiring Saleh was a fresh approach by the Jet's, and to complete that fresh approach they wanted a promising new face at the QB position. It wasn't an easy decision. If it was he would have been traded sooner

Thanks.  Good thing Chuma got his degree.

Serious question for my Charlotte & NC folks:

im sure you know some people who “grew up” as steelers fans like I did but does anyone know a steelers fan that was actually from Pitt or WPA?

Steeler and Cowboy fans are just like Duke BBall fans - nobody knows anyone who actually attended Duke lol

My Mom's ex-husband's family are all Steelers fans. His father, my ex step-father, played for the Steelers in the 50's and is in the Duke football Hall of Fame. They all live in Greensboro.

Whatever the past was he is now in a polar opposite situation here and the Panthers have gone out of their way to smooth his transition. Time to show out.
