Horrible to say, but I love watching the punt team!

Charlton is something special.

Every time he punts, he amazes me. The kicks always initially looks like a total shank, and then it hangs, and hangs, and HANGS. It then always looks like its coming down much shorter than it does, but then bounces onto the turf at the ideal spot.

Two really awesome punts and position leverage plays came out of this preseason game alone. 

This can be a MAJOR advantage in the regular season if the offense can't come up with a 1st down.

Putting a team's offense way back in its own territory will be extra good for this fast, hungry, young, and versatile defense.

That is horrible to say. 

Punts are very underappreciated.  Those guys are so good it is sick.  They "pooch" a kick farther than I can punt it with my ball blaster 3000 tights on.  and now they back it up like a good wedge shot.

Serious?He always punts high but not far,no matter on the 50 yard line or in the endzone.

I mean its better to have a really good punter than a really shitty one lol so yea nothing wrong with that. If we can never have gunners worth a fart may as well have a punter punt it to the roof so anyone can get down there. (and yes I do know our STs have greatly improved since the auto derp days and penalty on literally ever STs snap)

I don't believe anyone took the time to start any because after that shank it was just an expectation that he was just camp fodder. 

He turned it around fairly quickly though and has been a damned good kicker ever since.

Yeah, I remember the early reports when we brought him in last year about him shanking one in the parking lot, but he has been lights out.  He is 10x better than Palardy ever was.  Big leg, and just has a perfect feel for way to place them...  the way he got that punt to check up perfectly at the 1.  The dude is a 100% certified UNIT.

You win games in three phases. ST is one of those and having a good Punter and Kicker is what SB teams have.

Mr/Ms 07579394, ever heard of outkicking your coverage? There is an optimal height:distance ratio for a punt to ensure a minimal return. Net punt yards is more important than gross punt yards.

Charlton's problem is the ballistic,not only high balls,but also long flat balls which can hit the boundary
