He also did the flip side for us

https://jetsxfactor.com/2021/09/04/carolina-panthers-mismatches-ny-jets/

1. DJ/Robby vs Jets DBs

2. CMC vs Jets LBs

3. Moton in the run game

4.  Brown inside

5.  Burns off the edge

but I would assume people would feel he is 100% right about all these though

Honestly, he could have kept going.

6. Jones Inside.. vs Van Roten

7. Reddick of the edge

8. Chinn at safety/everywhere on the field.

9. Summerize Donte Jackson's second half of last season assuming he plays at that same level or even further develops...i.e as he did with Derrick Brown.

10. Terrance Marshall - If two day 3 rookies end up being their #2... not only do you have to worry about Anderson but also Marshall. Specifically vertical and in the red zone game.

I could continue ... a two TE set with Arnold and Tremble w/ McCaffrey on the field. Sam Darnold knowing most of their roster and tendencies... Shaq on the blitz. The intel we're probably getting from that Qb we signed. All of which will create mismatches. That's either common sense for us or homerism.

Glad you mentioned that.  He did a fine job of evening out the mismatches both teams might have, and backed his opinions up with metrics that show deep analysis on his part, not just the usual.  I enjoyed his takes.  Many here jumped to the early conclusion that he was just a Jets' homer, writing a puff piece.  Not so.

He wasn't predicting a winner; I am.  Big offensive performance for us, vs their overmatched corners and LBs -- Panthers 41, Jets 10.

If the Panther OL holds.  If it can’t….those sweet Panther matchups at WR begin not to matter as much.

Not confident enough in the OL based off what we saw vs the Steelers to predict some beat down . Jets interior DL is much better than the Steelers JV squad

Bingo. He was very much grasping at straws for anything....and it was pretty much all anecdotal reasons. The reasons why we should win this game are legit and many.... Which is why, if we lose, the meltdown that happens I will very much be a part of.

Not only is this a should win, it's a must win because if we don't them something is REALLY wrong here.

And I would also be banning all of the "I told you so" crowd, just out of spite and because I can.

We clearly have the better team assuming Darnold is average. The Jets are down a starting LT, DE, and WR, not to mention more of their players may come down with COVID. They're also starting a rookie QB and that is almost always rough for any team. We're holding all the cards in this matchup. If we lose that means Darnold is a poop disaster and we're headed toward a horrific season. The Jets are the worst of the teams we'll play.

    • Just going off the draft sims and he's always sitting around 20 lol. First year in a while where we haven't been thinking about the draft already in late October so haven't really looked into the top 15-20 picks yet. Also the qb class is super weak so he probably will sneak up into 10-15
    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
