Good luck convincing these dudes who literally spend their life here of that.  I was here before the sever reset as well ( didn't post much ) and lost one of my other accounts as well after about a year or two of not visiting the board.  I recently made this account a few seasons ago and decided it was time I at the very least participate to some extent. According to them I only became a fan when I signed up for this account but would be happy to talk about previous seasons where I watched every single game since 2002 ( when I started watching football ).  Only the true fans of this team have 80,000 posts and have been here for the past 15+ seasons on the same account.  Yes, my eyes have rolled to the back of my skull.

Yeah, this off-season was filled with doom and gloom threads by our resident GM/Scouts. The guys who predicted Darnold would poo the bed and that Rhule was coddling him, now say it’s a small sample size. But if Cam had the same numbers…

Really the sky is the limit if the D keeps playing like this. They cant run the ball and they cant stop our pass rush from getting home. 

If that continues the only thing that can destroy it is terrible turnovers by the offense.

I am very optimistic about our defense and think they can carry us to some tight wins.  

My concern is as the season goes along teams find that weakness in our defense.  Right now it's hard to see one but there are several coaches, that we play this year, that have been around long enough and might find one.

Defense wins Championships as the saying goes.  If we can show we are a nasty defense.  Who knows how far we can go.
