I tend to agree with your grade. The offense cannot continue to leave that many points on the field and expect to win games.  When they get that sorted out I would put these kids up against anyone.

Ya if we had closed out these two games in fashion we’d be giving Arizona and TB a run for their money at a top offenses spot through two as well.

I think the B- for Blackburn  is very generous.  Special teams were awful yesterday...10 men on the field, gave up big returns, blocking on FG...well...they did not.  Can't find a kicker (situation is embarrassing).  I give him a D at best.

I can get behind all of that except the finding a kicker part.  That's Fitterer's problem.  Blackburn can only coach the guys who are there.

Totally agree. I just figure if we are gonna do it, call some plays that let CMC take control away from a collapsing line and showcase his ability. Such as that inside(I think it was inside the 10) the 10 run where he scored.

Like last week when we spread the offense out and Darnold walked in. He could have crawled in on his hands and knees man. lol!

If we can't get one yard in the running game when we need it, it could cost us a game or two this season.  Our OL lacks nastiness, period.  I remember when our run blocking was superb back in the day.  The big nasties would eat glass and crap barbed wire.  Now they apparently eat marshmallows wear roller skates that only work in one direction...backwards.

Colts have one of the better o-lines in the league and had 1st and goal at the 1 and couldnt punch it in. it happens. That said, spread the field and run Darnold here. It always works.

Don't put him in to block put him in to go pound the damn rock into the end zone

He couldn't even do that as far as I could tell.  I lost track of who was failing to get up field after they took 22 out for a rest. Chubba is too light in the ass to get any push so he's got to pit on some weight if he's going to hold onto the #2 rusher spot.

Also...Rhule...going to blame him for the poor 3rd qtr performances .  The team has been terrible in the 3rd qtr in every game Rhule has coached.  Looks like that the opposition makes adjustments..our coaching staff does not anticipate them or have an answer for them. This will cost us games (and has). B here for me...Brady B-.

But tbf, if Marshall didn't fall down we would have been in a good spot to score in the 3rd.

I would have  expected him to voice concerns quite some time ago.  Maybe he did and was ignored. Someone should have seen this coming and he was the closest one to it.

correct me if I'm wrong but they didn't even hand him the ball to my knowledge?

    • They never even tried to pretend that he had to win tne job. I hated that. At least make it a fake competition for appearances.  Naw, just install him.
    • For all the Bryce apologists, the Canales apologists are almost worse.
    • I mean, sure, he has made a mess of the football situation with his hires.   I'm just saying, he is often overused to take the blame of others who ALSO are bad at their jobs.    We see that often.  Not just with Tepper.  I mean, how many people did we scapegoat and try to give all the blame to before we admitted Matt Rhule was bad at his job.  Same for Fitterer.  Tepper's other pro team has gone to the postseason in back to back years now.  Think they set a MLS record this year too.  And they have barely existed.   Tepper is not crafting the roster and shaping the team.  Others do that for him.   The QB room is the way it is because of the big picture hires of David Tepper.  But on a practical football level discussion about why we suck at the QB spot and going forward, we got to talk about Dan Morgan.  He is the dude doing the bad job there.  I'm not trying to deflect any blame from Tepper.  I just can't stand how Dan Morgan gets the pass he gets from some and the narrative......Tepper is calling the QB room, and this weird Morgan mantra that he somehow is silently against everything he part of building (not saying that is you but it exists here)  I think with a good staff and QB,  no one would care about David Tepper.  I think Tepper has now limited his ability to get the good staff in the front office and sidelines.   In hindsight, the Matt Rhule hire.....might go down as the biggest error in Panther history.  Because it's all a snowball from that bad hire.
