Hmmm…are they looking past Houston? Lol! I don’t see us doing this but I feel they are looking to Dallas and want to keep him healthy.

I get the feeling that Rhule wants work rookies in slowly and put as little wear on older vets as reasonably achievable….or “coddle” them as some of the dolts around here would say.

He seems to play the hell out of the younger vets though.

Given how our defense played the first two games, we can better afford to be cautious. It's a long(er) season, after all.

He also hasn't been allowed in the facility or to have any contact with the team while suspended so missing all of that time in meetings and practice in addition to this being a short week allowing less time than normal to catch up likely played a role as well.

Just saw this on the NFL ticker...  not buying it's injury.  I think it could be there comfortablitiy level with his in-game conditioning and/ornot wanting to mess with the chemistry that has already been building with the guys who have been out there.

I disagree with this, because I would rather let him work his way in on a game against Houston, rather than Dallas next game.

Rashaan Melvin played 75% of the defensive snaps last week and did just fine. At least I didn't remember a single snap he played on the first watch....which is a good thing. As a practice squad player he's at the limit of his 2 games tonight before he would have to be promoted to the active 53 man roster to play him next week. My guess is they use this coming long week to get Bouye up to speed.

I’m perfectly fine trotting out the same dominant lineup as last week. Bouye would’ve been nice depth just in case though.

He did have an injury in camp. Rotoworld said he's out with a soft tissue injury but seems like he could be ready for next game. Not sure if it's the same injury or not or what the details are, but it makes sense that he still needs to get up to speed a bit. He did miss a lot of camp towards the end there.
