First half we certainly looked competitive. Had a pathetic ref call gone our way it may have been a widely different score the first half.

Just a matter of learning and getting better from this. Mistakes and turnovers we made were easy fuel for the high powered Dallas offense.

They adjusted at halftime and we didn't. Felt like the good old days again.

My concern is that we didn't look like we belonged on the field with them until they bafflingly went prevent and rested their best DB late.

Did you only watch the 3rd quarter?

We absolutely looked like we belonged the 1st half, especially with the way the refs walked the cowboys down the field for a TD and took away a fumble at the 50....

So we didn't look like we belonged on the field with them in the first half where we led by 1 despite them starting with the ball and having a TD handed to them? We had a series of events that spiraled out of control briefly in the 3rd quarter, not really that big of a deal in the bigger picture.

Very true. Also what didn't help was giving them easy field position. That avalanche began with that missed FG, then the turnovers afterwards. They feast on that.

That should be priority number 1 of fixing: gotta stop making silly mistakes like that. Hope Rhule understands that as well.

That’s not true.  We were leading at the half despite them being gifted a TD.  We won 3 of 4 quarters.  The 3rd quarter was simply historically bad…and it all started with a missed FG.

In my mind, second half coaching and adjustments are as big a concern as the OL.

Yep. That call for a FG was boneheaded as they come. Awful call and momentum shifter, gifting the Cowboys easy field position.

Gotta learn to not give opponents those fruitcakes and be that risky.

We didn’t get outplayed, we got out coached. It happens this staff is young. We will come back from this. We are a borderline playoff team. That in itself us exciting. This year isn’t SB or bust. Learn from mistakes and come back next week and do better.

That field goal call completely changed the game. I couldn't believe Rhule called for that.

I catch myself guilty of that thinking too. But then I remember that we were literally leading at halftime even though Dallas was gifted a possession that led to a td on that abysmal forward progress ruling. The 3rd quarter was about as abysmal as it gets, starting with the missed fg and followed by 2 interceptions that led to short fields and TDs. But don't let that make you forget that for 3/4 of the game, we played with a lot of fight and hell, arguably looked like the better team.

    • 😆If you're not elite or a potential HOFER, then LG calls you "run-of-the-mill" or "meh." Shaq has had a decent career---better than many longtime starters, but not everyone is built to be worthy of the Hall Of Fame.
    • I don't even blame Remmers. The Falcons did us a massive favor showing us his Achilles heel in our lone regular season loss. They ruined our perfect season but in doing so they should've helped us win the SH. Remmers absolutely couldn't handle an elite speed rusher one on one. Providing Remmers help on Von Miller out of the gate should have been plan A in SB50 and we needed to have a plan B of shifting to focus more on quick developing routes of our typical slow developing downfield passing game wasn't planning out. Remmers gets most of the blame from fans for the outcome of that game but honestly I put much more of the blame on Shula. Vic Beasley and the Falcons had already given you a preview. The Broncos players literally laughing in the post-game interviews about how we changed up literally nothing for that game was just the icing on the cake. Shula was playing checkers against Wade Phillips chess.
    • After the phins didnt jump on a hard count he said "they didnt bite the cheese" the wife and I nearly pissed ourselves laughing. Not - they didnt take the bait - they didnt bite the cheese   Between that and all the talk of square shoulders and the way he over emphasizes EVERYTHING its exhausting
