We can not keep settling for mediocrity on the O line

We have to go all in on it in the offseason. Enough is enough. As for now, give Brown or Christensen a shot. Like seriously, I cannot possibly envision a scenario where they are worse than what we are currently trotting out there. The cowboys O line held one of the best D fronts in football sackless today, and exposed our awful O line. That's why they won today and we lost. Period. Year after year we keep thinking that patchwork vets will get the job done, and they never do. Darnold can't be at his best when he is under constant pressure, there is obviously not much we can do right now, but we have to get it together after this year. With an at least DECENT O-line, (and a little more depth) this is a super bowl contender.

I'm the skill position guy. I like WR. CBs. Safeties. Hell even LB play gets me moist.

We have to prioritize O-line this off-season. Unless the second coming of Calvin Johnson, Luke Kuchely or Ed Reed fall into our laps I'm hard pressed to make an argument for anything but O-line unless Sam really starts shitting the bed.

    • If Phillips and Lloyd stay healthy, this is now a top ten(8?) defensive.  I can not see how Dan did this with Phillips........ must be , I hate to wonder.
    • Panthers add another big piece in LB Devin Lloyd  Top 150 ranking: 3 Reported deal: 3 years, $45 million Grade: A Lloyd comes in pretty far under our projection of $19 million per year. He is tied for the fourth-highest-paid off-ball linebacker in the league, according to Over the Cap. He played like one of the best off-ball linebackers in football in 2025, and he will still only be 27 when the 2026 season begins. Lloyd is an explosive playmaker with a well-rounded skill set for the position. He is excellent in coverage. He is physical in run defense. He can blitz. He can run sideline to sideline. He had the production last season with 28 pressures and five interceptions. This had all the makings of a deal closer to the top of the market, which is held by the 49ers’ Fred Warner at $21 million APY. Lloyd slots in well below that number. This is a great deal for the Panthers. — Popper The Athletic https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7093735/2026/03/09/nfl-free-agency-grades-2026/
