TAYLOR MOTON: Got paid syndrome or just cant do poo with these other fools?

Recommended Posts

Moton is good not great, he is also our only Olineman that shouldn't be replaced. The rest are backup level quality. Moton is good enough to build around, the problem is we have crap taste in Olinemen and the rookies that should be able to challenge the garbage in front of them are just not good enough yet to do even that.

I have doubts this crew can identify good talent on the Oline after this offseason. I had hoped that BC could start at LG considering the level of competition but after he was declared a RT I just gave up any hope and I am just waiting waiting to see what he actually is. It had better not be just a RT.

Moton has played at the same level as the other OLmen, petty bad/average.

In fact the best looking one so far is looking like Erv, but tallest midget blah blah....

Im off the daley bus, gave him 4 games and he is neck-in-neck with Paradis for worst OL.

Looks like every single one is playing with a bad injury. Weak as well...

Not sure what games you are watching, yesterday he looked like he had never played a game of pro football before.

Take your pick all OLmen are looking bad. One thing that saves Erv, he is the LT and they go against the best DLman most times. I know for a fact hes playing better than Paradis or Daley. Miller(super bad Dallas game) and moton could make a case for "best" one, but everyone is playing poor(including moton)

Oh I agree. As much as I could get behind the move for Henderson I just can't fathom how we can watch too much more of this oline falling over into Sam's lap before we make a change. The middle of the line is the worst it's been in years. Paradis is what he is the Broncos knew it when they let him walk. Something has to give.

Anytime a tackle lines up over Paradis, or a Backer/Safety blitzes the middle our protection goes to Sh--. Add in the fact there's no RB's sticking their noses in there to help out (with CMAC out) its a real Sh--show. Cmac (as an outlet, hot/check down, diversion and blocker) and scheme can hide some of our O-line issues. No Cmac those problems are magnified.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
