Former 2x Super Bowl winning player personnel guy on Panthers OL

So he’s basically saying what a bunch of dudes on a football message board have been bitching about all season. Play your young guys since the vets on the team already suck and aren’t going to magically get better. At least the young guys have a chance to improve.

Why can everyone see and understand this but our coaching staff can’t?

That's not what he's saying, he's saying there's nothing we can do about it. He references "young talent" getting better and gelling better throughout a season. We don't have young talent on the OL. We have a few young players but they haven't shown to be very talented and don't have much pedigree.

I don't remember the Superbowl Giant's OL being impressive.

Was one of the very few teams in history (like 4) with a below average ranked oline to make it to the super bowl.

However two things should be noted, first, that was during the season, post season they really stepped up and somehow miraculously became a formable line. Also E Manning went super sayan on the NFL, and enjoyably the undefeated Patriots.

People shot on Eli, but that guy played completely out of his mind in the playoffs in those two SB seasons. Was his overall career worth the trade they made? Honestly, no. But those two Lombardis were.

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
