You think Watson is wants to take the field behind this OL? Houston's failure for years to build an OL is a big part of why they arrived at this empasse to begin with.

If Watson comes here he will not be behind the O-line you see today.

Nope. If we traded for him this week we have to force the NFL to suspend him immediately by starting him. Now he is stuck on the exempt list until the legal cases are settled, that could take years. So by the time its settled he may be 3 years removed from playing a down and who knows what that would look like.

At this point lean into the fail. Get the 1st pick, fire the coaches and start again, again.

Don't yall know? Watson would take us to the promise land with no O-linemen, actual dogs for WRs, a brick for RB, and the cast of Golden Girls as the coaching staff. THAT'S HOW GOOD HE IS! We don't need picks to spruce up this team! Trade all the picks! Trade all the stars! We just need HIM!

Question ... are some of you who want him so bad Clemson fans? Or do you think you really know football?

Super Bowl Winners since Carolina appeared in 2003:

Tom Brady (x6)

Ben Roethlisberger (x2)

Peyton Manning (x2)

Eli Manning (x2)

Drew Brees

Aaron Rodgers

Russell Wilson

Joe Flacco

Nick Foles

Patrick Mahomes

It's not impossible to win without a very good to elite level starter, but the margin for error without one is extremely fuging slim. Watson is elite. It's really that simple.

I can understand if you won't watch for moral reasons. I assume you stopped watching when Hardy had is problems as well?

We didn't trade multiple picks for Hardy knowing that he'd assaulted his gf.

He played one game for us after that and was then blackballed by the league.

You're comparing apples and oranges.

No I'm asking if you watched. I'm testing the scope of your morality.

Dude, you can't stump for Darnold as hard as you have and then come trying to throw shade at anyone for their football knowledge. Just take the L.

Watson put up some pretty amazing stats behind garbage OLs in Houston, which I'm sure we're telling ourselves.

Because we won't be able to draft or sign any OL help carrying 60 million in QB cap hits.

This also isn’t about just this year. Deshaun is 25 years old. He has another decade of playing.

For those worried about the cap space and Watson, if we trade for him a lot things will change on the team. We will trade certain players, and let other players walk. Our team blueprint will change from defense oriented and game manager QB, to offense oriented with scrappy cheap defense. That's what the Dallas team that beat the brakes off of us did and it works. Of course it will take some time and nothing is 100% certain.
