the draft is fluid and people latch on to certain specific things that Verge may have said at one time, despite saying something different (and often more accurate) as the draft got closer.  but nobody's rumors / sources are ALWAYS correct.

those of you intend on shitting on a person for sharing what they've heard, fug off. just ignore the posts. I ignore 90% of the posts from people with "inside" info (altho that has largely disappeared the last couple years, hmm)...

This is all turning into a big nothing-burger. Texans leaking fake interest to try and incite teams to engage in a bidding war.

It is odd how this just keeps flaring up periodically in the sports media. It does feel very manufactured.

I suspect it is both camps being active in trying to force the action.

@Verge do you have any insights on what the framework of the deals are? Is it still 3 1sts, multiple mid round and 2 starters?

Curious to what the Eagles could offer to sweeten the pot.

My guy doesn't believe it is three 1sts, though admittedly it is hard for him to know exact details beyond what he is hearing as a third party.

Thinks the Eagles are involved in a weird package deal (not for Watson), but nothing beyond that.

Doesn’t matter if she’s right or wrong. She has a source in Buffalo that’s giving info that person is telling her and she’s posting. She doesn’t have to do this lol. Even if it’s not directly from the panthers. Offices talk so we’re basically hearing office gossip in the nfl. It’s cool. Nothing more nothing less.

For clarity he does NOT work for Buffalo. That's just where I live lol

I think she said something like it was between horn and jones if Sewell wasn't available

I thought

Mac Jones > Sewell > Horn

I have admitted I was very much fooled on the Mac Jones front. Sewell and Horn info was correct.

    • Yeah I think he's just talking continuity it's not really an endorsement. Also I would think CarolinaHuddle of all places would understand using "we" for the team you follow. I can't STAND when dorks do the "Oh so you play for them then? Hurr hurr"
    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
