I've got a problem for sure....It's that I root for this lousy ass franchise. Thankfully since 2015 I care much less than I did. It's comical to me at this point.

I find it humorous that you believe your apathy somehow makes you a Martyr.

If you really didn't care. You wouldn't be on here so much. You care, come on...say it. lol

Unfortunately we have a long history of quitting when we don’t have a solid QB that can win games. We might not be alone in the NFL in that regard. See Cincinnati this year compared to most of their history save some Kenny Anderson and Carson Palmer years.

We should have gone full rebuild instead of halfway with Teddy and hope and a prayer with Sam.

I agree with you 100% on this.  I suspected we were in trouble when they had a bit of success last season and Rhule was getting full of himself.  Stop trying to jump 10 steps ahead and build this thing right already.

If Rhule doesn't figure that out he will be taking his show on the road and we will be rebuilding under someone else.

I’ll stay in his corner…if our players suck as much as ours do, not a whole lot any coach can do

Quarterback play is Rhule’s to own. He released Cam for a lesser quarterback.

He was unhappy with Teddy’s play as we all were ( unable to throw deep ball but accurate) and traded away draft capital for a lesser quarterback.

I get it Darnold has a higher ceiling than Teddy but he also has a lower floor. Last 4 weeks we have gotten the floor and the head ball coach needs to own that.

Oh, I still care, but the level of care is much less. If we lose it no longer ruins my day like it once did.

Problem is Darnold.

A better QB solves a lot of our problems. Rhule should not have gone into this season depending on Darnold.

It's amazing that some people miss this as Panthers fan. How over the past four seasons have we not learned this lesson yet? How many forgot about Weinke, Rodney Peete, Jimmy Clausen, the ghost of Vinny Testaverde?

Jesus.

Vinny Testaverde was respectable here. Peete wasn’t that bad. Both better than what we have.

    • Tell me something I don’t know. I said right there in what you quoted I wasn’t optimistic. I said I could still be hopeful. Which ain’t the same but will have to do.  I have optimism regarding more compartmentalization aspects of the team. Some players. The good draft we had is cause for optimism. Maybe that Tepper is actually being less harmful. Maybe.  I had some for Canales but his meter is about 50% right now with me.  Etc
    • Got a little more juice in us this period. Gotta get these chances to start falling. Ducks and us keep getting these chippies that are missing. First team to start banging these in and I think the floodgates open.
    • The things that make people give up on him is that he is getting worse in terms of simple football things and he isn't improving on much in terms of being a WR. He has improved his drops but then he has increased his insanely boneheaded penalties. I mean, the dude has THREE false start penalties. That is the second most on the team.  Couple that with his obvious limitations in terms of field vision, agility, etc and you just start to wonder what there really is to even believe in. I'll put it this way, when such a notoriously terrible personnel management coach like Canales gives up on you, that's saying a lot. He has ridden more bums for longer than any of us care to remember.
