LMAO. You guys are ridiculous! We’re 1.5 years into a rebuild and you’re BIG MAD over the fact that we’re not already a contender. We don’t have an offensive line yet. This is the part of the story where we suck. I get that fans want the team to win, but this angry, uninformed fan fiction you guys are writing is seriously pitiful. Come on, man!

We just got held to 3 points and blown out by Daniel Jones and the Giants. There is rebuilding and then there is imploding.

Well something obviously crazy had to happen to get canned this quick after winning the title and seeing how the team looks compared to what they usually do.

There's a good article in The Athletic about it.

I've paraphrased it, but basically the dude went off the rails. Was bringing his mistresses to practice, tried to shag a Booster's wife (who was also pregnant at the time) etc, etc.

He's self destructed.

Our defense is really good

After going 3-0 our defense has given up 433 yards to the Cowboys 571 yards to the Vikings and 302 yards to the Giants. They actually played well enough for us to win against the Eagles but beyond that game our defense has not been really good. Sad truth.

It's seem rather evident that he is limited in his ability to adjust his play calling outside of his comfort zone of pass concepts.

At best he's just too green to be a pro coordinator.

That doesn't mean I'm saying other aspects aren't awful too.

Sometimes you don't have to wait until the house is built to tell that the carpenters didn't know what they were doing, if you know what to look for. Rhule and Co. just weren't ready for the big leagues. It happens.

In your bad metaphor, you've started complaining about the carpentry while they're still pouring the footings. We're 1.5 years into a complete rebuild. Some of the things they're trying/going to try aren't going to work. You've got to fail some in order to improve and you have to give people time to grow into their jobs, especially when you try to get in on the ground floor as they did with Joe Brady.

It didn’t work. Other teams caught on and we spiraled just like Denver is now.

Sam isn't great and may not even be very good. But our genious OC isn't doing him any favors. They are playing to players strengths, they're simply running there plays with little to know adjustments. We have many issues, it ain't just Sam.

“I will say it again.  The difference between Darnold and Rosen is Darnold isn't a prick and people like him.”

“Darnold is a terrible NFL QB which was proven before and again now in CAR. Carolina heads are going to roll over him. He is horrendous.”

“Darnold just sucks and gets people fired.  It’s what he does.  You can’t “fix” his brand of suck.”

“It's almost as if the Panthers have observed his play and realize that he's a 1 read QB that sh*ts the bed when his primary option isn't wide open.”

And the most apt one and what I’ve been stressing for weeks

“Completely lacks the presence to raise the play of others around him.  His teams absorb his limp d*ck softness.”

sam is a terrible quarterback and sucks all the energy off the field. If we fire Brady over this it will be a mistake.

Where were all of these quotes when we were 3-0 behind a then-healthy CMC?

Lots of hindsight brilliance here.  Which would be a great name for a sports forum.

Check all the threads when we traded for him and then signed him to his 5th year option. You’ll see my posts in there.

    • I don't think so. I think once you're measuring electronically, the spot is where the sensor says it is. So if it says half yard short of the line to gain, that's the spot. Now how that works with scrums and the ball moving on two minute drills and poo is anybody's guess.
