I agree to some extent however I don't think asking for more than 1 TD from our qb in over 5 games is having expectations that are too high.

true but the oline has let sam down.  he ran for his life that last game.  Hes trying to make something happen.  Hes not getting alot of support from the play calling, his wr dropping balls, and the oline being made of paper.  Play calling is the biggest issue right now.  its not an NFL caliber offense.  If you know what carolina is about to call sitting on your couch, so does the defense.  Thats very difficult for your qb.  Sam is making alot of mistakes because hes been thrust into a position where he has to try and force something to happen.  The staff is too young imo.  Carolina is playing at a low budget college team level.

Tepper should just put out a statement apologizing to the fans for the miserable season and vow to get it fixed this off-season. Knock the ticket prices down for Panthers fans. With all the tech we have these days there has to be a way to weed out the opposing teams fans.

I hate to say it, but this is pure fantasy and won't ever happen.

This thread should've come with a poll on who the sacrificial lamb will be.

I think its Brady.  But not fired...  I think Rhule follows his predecessor's style, and to allow him to save face, he says he is relieved of his playcalling duties but will still be on the staff in a different capacity.  If nothing changes, Tepper likely fires Rhule by the end of the season or right after.

how did Brady go from "brain-child genius" to inept??

i'm nervous to just axe him.. but dunno what else to do.. it's all poo at this point

The answer is that he was never that dude to begin with.  The media whipped up a narrative after his 1 season at LSU, and all of a sudden hes some prodigy, when he has not done poo to actually earn that title.  We've all been sold a bill of goods.  More fake news.

There's so much you can realize just by reading between the lines.

Sam has sucked since day 1. That's why they kept him hidden. That's why he never played preseason. That's why they're obviously scared as poo of letting him sling it.

It really looks like the offense around Sam has just given up. The receivers have completely forgotten how to catch. Christian isn't playing as hard as he typically does. I noticed Robby breaking and leaving the huddle while plays were still being read yesterday. Either every single person in the offense started sucking, or the problem is on someone elses shoulders.

Part of the blame goes on Joe Brady because he's shown absolutely nothing and hasn't developed players at all. They were bragging about having a 1st round grade on Brady Christiensen at guard and has proceeded to play him at tackle while both guards as a massive weakness.

I believe there's in fighting from the offense and defense. Rhule alluded to this when a few weeks ago we can''t start blaming each other and pointing fingers. I can't blame the defense for being annoyed when they just keep getting completely hung out to dry. Their work alone should have given us 14 points yesterday.

Honestly I think they need to hire the Huddle to run the team.

I mean, we knew this OL sucked in the off season and literally had NUMEROUS threads about it.  The staff went out and signed a couple of cast-offs and thought they fixed the issue.

So yeah, in seems the Huddle has more of a clue how to fix this team than the brass.

    • Damn I liked A'Shawn too. This is basically a heads up we're planning on cutting you move.  Robinson wasn't the best but I loved his attitude and effort on the field. He held that entire dline together when Brown went down iirc..granted we finished that season as the worst rushing defense in modern NFL history.  If Wharton would have performed up to atleast half of his salary last season, I'd feel a little better about it. We do need that cap space though.
    • 13. Carolina is coming. The Panthers are well thought of around the league. Their "process" seems sound. I think their off-season will be very interesting to keep an eye on. They made the playoffs, but they're not yet knocking on the door. (Offense was 26th in EPA/play.) I think it's imperative they don't overestimate where they are in their build. They can't throw a ton of money around in FA to "make a run now". They need to be intentional about building a solid foundation. (IMO) And from what I know about the team... I think they will be. Sidenote: I have my eye on offense there, not defense. They HAVE to leave next season with a strong opinion on Bryce Young. They need to put pieces around him to do that. Can't be left wondering what he would have looked like with "better OL play" or "more pass catchers". They have to know. (That part is purely my opinion. No one told me that.) https://x.com/lindsay_rhodes/status/2027212533417869499?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
    • Because this DL is completely reliant on Brown being available and being a stud. Without him we were the worst D in history. The Wharton signing last year reeked of desperation. He just isn't a great fit for us schematically and I think we panicked a little bit when we missed out on Milton Williams who would have been a great fit.
