There is so much bad that it's hard to assign what to who.

I'll take anything at this point but please don't forget to fire the personnel people. Play calling can't explain the moves we made this offseason.

Define a "good play". They're all good if they work. It's hard for them to work when your offense is limited severely by a terrible OL and a terrible QB.

Joe Brady can dial up winner plays.  But if Sam can't do what he is suppose to,  bails, throws a bad ball, etc.  Well, Joe Brady is trash.

I mean it was just a week ogo we had former quarterbacks detaling how Sam can't do some of the most basic things a NFL QB is asked to do.

well, imagine if Joe Brady isn't a main problem.  Yeah, he needs some situational work but that again is to be expected.

So what happens if you scapegoat Joe Brady this early and then Rhule inserts one of his Baylor buddies as the interim OC....and it gets even worse (which it can).   Brady is attempting to hold back the implosion until as late as possible right now.   So it could come earlier in games and be worse.

It can't get much worse than 3 points against the Giants and 6 points against the Patriots.

If all the opposing team knows the play. And you come out and run the play.  With no motions etc.  It’s a bad play

Been saying they are running packages and not the whole playbook. That's why you see so many repeat plays.

Doubt it but if so it's even dumber.

*Can't score*
Lets limit the play book
*Can't score worse the defense knows all the plays*

Trying to accomplish what exactly doing that then?

The assistant QB coach and the passing game coordinator are both Baylor guys.  That's how you know Joe Brady and the QB coach will two of the first get thrown under the bus.

Maybe let your OC and not your DC pick the QB next time.

Damn. Brady and the QB coach are dead men walking.

I think it would be a mistake, too.

Not going ot defend OL or QB... but I will say Joe Brady has been pretty bad. He recycles his playbook and runs multiple plays twice per game. His run concepts are very vanilla, and a bad QB has nothing to do with that. Look at how many motion and misdirection pre-snap run plays the patriots did on us on Sunday.  They were lining up two runningback and motioning one outside to pull shaq out of the box. They were running the slot reciever and TE for fake jet sweeps to get the NB running the wrong direction. Joe Brady hasnt shown a single sign of any creativity like this.

Then lets take the Giants game as an example. Just as bad of a qb and o line. They were moving the pocket at the snap. Running away from the pass rush and getting jones time to throw. poo, on one play they brought an extra lineman in to come in motion to the right side to be an extra blocker for Daniel Jones as he rolled right (with his linemane) to setup a quick hit on the boundary line.

These are microsamples of what Joe Brady just has not shown us. There is ayoutube video that was shared on this message board showing Joe Brady's receiver route trees are elementary. Some times we have 3 recievers all within 5 yards of each other.

The OL has been mediocre, and QB play along with it.... but JB has just been outright bad.

This

the limited package is giving a guy who has only been a passing game coordinator in college for 1 season with Jamar Chase Joe Burrow and Justin Jefferson.  We may be giving him a bit too much credit

i'm not going to say it's all on joe brady, but...

predictable playcalling woulld increase the odds of interceptions and "ambulance" passes.

predictable playcalling would make an oline less effective.

predictable play calling would make it impossible to score in the red zone.

again...not saying it's all in joe brady, but...he's a major factor as to why the panthers offense is absolutely unbearable to watch.

The body of work is what I am focused on and at this point I am at the 'chicken or egg, doesn't really matter because it's just chicken poo' place with it all.

    • Jack Roslovic: Only 2 other UFA, right-handed centers age 28 or under had more points (39) than him- Sam Bennett (51) and Pius Suter (46). There were 4 other centers age 33 and older who scored more: Gireaux (37), Marchand (37), Tavares (34), Granlund (33).  Unless the Canes go old, if they let Jack walk, they won't get a center who scored more.  Thoughts?
    • nope     This is why we come back every year.  Hope springs eternal
    • It's important to differentiate criticism and hate. I can't speak for that individual you quoted. But most people who have been critical of the Tepper's have been so because both of them have made it a point to put themselves front and center and in the middle of team operations and we have been largely horrific more often than not as a result. If people are making derogatory remarks about her that should be met with an appropriate response but if people are being defensive just because she's being criticized all I can say is people should get used to it. Both her and David would have been getting absolutely skewered by the media and the fans if this were a big market franchise. The Lakers are finally being sold off after years and years of public criticism of Jeannie Buss and even though I'm the furthest you could go from being a Lakers fan just about anyone you could meet who is familiar with the NBA would say the criticism was certainly valid.
