It’s almost like we have a QB problem and OLs not holding is just the NFL to a large degree 

The oline is bad but its distracting everyone from the main problem on this team.

Yeah those guys mostly already have jobs. Maybe we get lucky and Watson waives his clause for us? I doubt it though. Unfortunately the way things are going, we’re gonna be in Cleveland Browns type QB purgatory for a long ass time. I hope I’m wrong…

This is why it's hard for me to fully embrace analytics. They don't tell the whole story. According to the numbers the Cowboy o-line is just a little bit better than our in terms of pass blocking. I think we all would agree that isn't the case. But, we also know that our line doesn't hold blocks very long. It's one of the reasons why Darnold seems to always be on the run. Perhaps other teams have QB's that do a better job getting the ball out of the QB's hand in a timely manner in terms of their schemes.

What this does show us is that we do not have dependable blockers in our passing and rushing game.

Math is everything but it's not football. Any given Sunday has proven that again and again.

Yeah, that's why you FUGGING DRAFT THEM and not try to pick off bargains in the FA market (or low-cost trades who are low-cost FOR A FUGGING REASON).

No doubt numbers lie and deceive at times.   But there is a lot of bad OL play week to week.  And a lot to QBs making it work.

I told you I needed to see them play and have. They are about were ESPN has them 28-32, huge step back form last year were they ended up mid-pack(solid). Honestly small things are killing them along with just lacking talent- Snap count,  firing off the ball, missing gaps, etc. Honestly I know they play as "1"..... The "1 group" plays dumb, lost, and confused. They need better preparation in the worst way, that would help move the group to the very late teens along with having a experienced OC calling plays with OL that lacks talent.  Many times after the snap 2-3 defenders are already in the tackle box, thus Sam has jet flashbacks and gos hero ball mode....played out that way since week 4. This staffs has no answers and that is the worst part.

The issue with this staff is their incredible hubris to think they can resurrect people's careers. Just because they got more than expected out of a few players last year the staff bought into their own bullshit and decided to try to build an entire OL and raise a QB from the dead. It's insane.

      Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates

      This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
