When Goodell was announcing our pick he was like "The Panthers select J-" and I was like USTIN FIELDS!  But nope he said Aycee Horn. No offense to Horn or Darnold, it's neither of their faults we're in this situation

My family was recording my reaction because I thought it was a slam dunk pick. When they got to “Jay” they stopped recording and I lost it.

Then I sucked it up and hoped for the best with Sam but it’s been a mistake.

Of course I'm on the Anti fields wagon.

He doesn't play for us.

He plays in the NFC

I hate QBs in general and all that don't play for us.

We passed on him.

These are all reasons every single one of you should be anti Fields.

Reasonable enough.

I was at the bears game against SF last week. Fields didn’t look like a rookie. He made good reads and good throws and ran at the appropriate time. He’s going to be really good really soon. meanwhile we can only pray to land Fitzpatrick or Tyrod Taylor in the offseason.

You do you, but the older I get the more I can appreciate players on other teams.  Panthers will always be #1 but after 20+ years of this poo it helps to appreciate good players.

I was afraid Fields would be a bust, so I didn't want us to take him.  He's inconsistent with his accuracy, but when he's accurate he drops a dime.  He has star potential.

He was pretty pedestrian tonight.

Two big completions because Pittsburgh has a terrible slot corner.

He’s still trending up and has one hell of an arm. poo coaching and his oline isn’t great albeit has gotten better.

Pittsburgh secondary is poo but I was looking at ball placement. Looks good in the pocket.

You have to consider this guy came out as a raw as it gets rookie. I don’t see much that experience won’t fix. His ceiling is clearly higher than Mac.

He may or may not turn out.

Darnold absolutely will not turn out.

If I'm him, Rhule, Fitt, and Brady are gone tomorrow.

Then I'd sell the team to Ben Navarro

LOL on the last part. Fug that M-F-er, I wanted the Fanatics dude.

On an off note, I just realized that Credit One is one of the reasons that my credit score is 700+. They took a chance. So I'm sorry for calling Navarro an M-F-er. Still preferred the Fanatics dude though.

    • Plus he was in the era in which Safety, LBs, and CBs could de-cleat WRs/TEs on crossing routes. He was beyond tough too. Plus those numbers his 4.66 40 time etc....... GameDay with 15 LBs of pads/clothes/tape, he was the fastest guy on the field. In fact I never recall at any point Rice being ran down or "hawked" from behind by any player. He was a gamer and clutch, just like lex Lugar the total package.
    • Not all talent can be measured with a ruler and stopwatch. His hands, body control, and skills were ELITE.
    • He did have talent, but if you look at his combine/workout numbers...they are not eye popping like many of the combine freaks are. All the best have talent, smarts, and work ethic. What he was able to do in his 40s, he holds all the records after 40. He had two 1k seasons at 39 and 40, no other WR has 1k after 36. He came back from a ACL tear within 9 months after he turned 35 years old. You know this is the era where ACl was a career derail-er and it took most mortal men took a full 12 months and they were never the same. Only two other players have made catches at that age (40) and neither one was a wide receiver. LOL at Tom being one of them....   I also read or heard, he would have still played if not for ST. He was going to play for the broncos in 2006, I think he would have been 44???, he earned a spot as the #4-6 but the numbers game of having WRs play ST ended his career. He could still get open and play, just no sense in having the GOAT run head first into a wedge on KO duties.....
