Don’t sleep on Robby whenever we get a new qb. Not saying he’s gonna be a 1k yarder but he’s not this bad. I didn’t want to sign him to a second contract fwiw but he’s not as bad as the stats show. Sam has just full on imploded any opportunity for him to come back from the drops and make plays.

it got poo'd on this offseason.  But I still feel Robby was the lone man in FL while the team was here practicing because of a contract battle.  Robby wanted to get paid before Sam came in and tanked his value.   Which it totally would have done.

No way to know for a fact, but if Robby hadn't gotten paid he would have been screwed trying to get a deal after being reunited with Sam.

We do have a better record than Chicago.

Which fan base do you think feels better about their 2022 season right now, Carolina or Chicago?

That’s not far fetched. He saw him for 3 years before or whatever. Smart on Robby.

the only dumb thing I said about Sam before the season started was I thought he’d have a career year here with Brady’s system. Not that that’s saying much as his best year was like 19 tds and 13 picks. But I thought he’d hit the mid 20 range. Bradys system is extremely qb friendly so that just shows you how inept Sam is. I don’t think Sam is gonna play many more games for us this season tbh.

Chicago also has a much more difficult schedule. They have no back to back road or home games. Every week it’s rotated.

Chicago has defeated the Raiders and Bengals. That’s two wins over .500 clubs. Our only win against one was New Orleans.

Chicago is trending up. We are trending down. Chicago is blocking better now that they have their rookie 5th rounder playing and they should get Jenkins to play soon. They will have a young QB and two young Tackles to go with him from the same draft class.

You have a track record of dragging Cam through the mud over the years too. But praise and comparisons to hall of fame qb's just a few months ago for Darnold.

Big drive by Fields to take the lead with a minute left.  He keeps taking steps forward each and every week.

last two weeks he is looking pretty good for rookie of late.

Even if we had taken Fields, i am not sure he would have reached any of his potential behind our pitiful OL and coaches that seem to have no clue on game planing.

Fields would have probably ended up as shell shocked here as Sam Darnold became with the Jets.

Fields made some pretty great throws on the run last night. I think he would've fared better than Darnold. Darnold is damaged goods. He already had shell-shock. Happy feet.

But instead we have a staff who got fleeced by the Jets and picked up Darnolds 5th year option on top of that.
