I'm not crying. I don't think he's the answer to a Championship.

If he has ZERO potential at delivering a championship then he doesn't do any good.

At least Sam has the physical ability. Just have to fix his head. But you guys say his head is impossible to fix. If so they both don't belong.

Yeah I think so too. Cam won't be perfect by any means... But tbh, he shouldn't need to be. We had a handful of decent drives the last couple weeks where the QB didn't need to do a damn thing, and instead gave the ball to the opposing team... So maybe with just a little bit of working Cam in can be enough. Cam is generally really good at protecting the ball (if you exclude his 2 post covid games, he had something like a 1.5% int rate. That's really good).

if we have to lean on him to win us the game through some multi score comeback, that's unreasonable and probably won't work out... But if we can stay even or pull ahead and ride our D I think Cam's athleticism and dynamic playmaking will be enough.

If kyler plays we’re gonna be looking at cam needing to put up a fugton of points. Even with this ELITE defense, this offense were going against is ridiculous. I don’t think we’re gonna win this game. If we do and cam plays well, the Carolina legend he is will just continue to grow.

Even if Cam doesn't play well, I think he brings much needed energy to his teammates. Cam has always been the life of the party, his teammates gravitate towards him. I think the team will play better just feeding off of his energy! How many times have you guys seen Darnold on the sideline high-five his teammates or tell them to keep their heads up after a bad play?

Why such dislike for cam?

I don't dislike him.

I really dislike the people that try to make him into some kind of  deity.

The guy was a great football player for us. One of the best we've ever had.

I am disappointed he never maxed out his potential.

I'll never understand why you guys blow off him not jumping on that fumble. There's no other QB we've had that wouldn't have.

I see no point in bringing him back. It doesn't get us anywhere.

I hope I'm wrong and he's back to 2015 form.

Because the fumble was a nothing burger. He tried to change his direction with the ball. He's 6'5. He couldn't just fall on the ball.

Secondly it was one play.  How come you don't consider Delhomme's 5 INT game not equally as selfish? Clearly he could have pulled himself from the game. Clearly he didn't care about forcing throws.

That game was bullsht anyway. You can't deny that Cam was headhunted the entire game. That Cotchery made the catch. That Denver was offsides on our two missed FG's. Any of those plays going the other way would have changed the game.

    • Varying degrees all around but it starts at the top. That is where the buck stops. It has been 8 years of stupid, long before Morgan came back. Or Tillis was hired. Made it to the top of stupid mountain in 2023. Stayed in stupid limbo for a while, now we are prepping to scale the next mountain. In this case, I like those guys’ roster building better than what we have had so I am okay with them as our current pawns in the game of Bryce.
    • Don't let me gas him up too much, but I hear this and that...... I seen a wide body man with a quick burst, that's able to shed blocks and if extends his long arms its over. He tore up the OL in the senior, you seen about 10 plays and the dog walking OLman. There's other plays of him doing the same, just have to deal with fetus talking over the plays. Plus there's this-  https://x.com/PFF_College/status/2018385471068332410?lang=en     I hope he's ready, cause Id like to see him starting and doing his thang with dbrown, nic, and Phillips.
    • I mean there is relevance to that. But I think much of it has to do with the fact that he is clearly likeable. But does that translate to a coach taking his position to the next level like those that have had staying power for many years like Spoelstra? And not for nothing but does how much someone is liked even matter? Across leagues with the Panthers Ron Rivera and Marty Hurney were universally well liked by players. Dave Canales is very well liked. I say you are what your record says. And the record says you got your ass handed to you by a fellow expansion team in the Magic in a game that was over at halftime and that same team went toe to toe with our nemesis who has been handing us L's for over a year now. And if Bam doesn't get his leg swept by LaMelo do we even get past the Heat? Again. It just all boils down to personal standards. I think newer and younger fans will love this. I just want to actually win a real playoff game fam 🤷‍♂️
