How the hell you going to retain Rhule in 2022?

This is not year 2 of Ron Rivera.  There is literally no argument to keep Matt Rhule.

Rhule finally spoke a truth at the presser.  No one can see that it is working.  Because it isn’t.  He then lied after that.   But that was the truth.  Matt Rhule is failing and it isn’t working.

in 2012 Ron finished the year winning 5 out 6.  We could see it working with the hopeful franchise QB he drafted.   That earned Ron a year 3.

When I put my tinfoil hat on, I think that maybe Tepper is trying to increase our current fandom’s apathy to the point that no one would care if he picked up stakes and moved the team, but I can’t think of another city worth going to that doesn’t already have one or two teams.

San Antonio was heavily involved with the Saints pre-Katrina. Jags were rumored to be studying a move to London. Other possibilities are Orlando, Memphis, Salt Lake City, Omaha, Portland, etc.

Edit: St. Louis might want a team again.

Edit2: Forgot about Toronto.

St. Louis.

Also been said Birmingham wants a franchise but I don’t think there’s enough capital there.

it's a report from yesterday that's getting new traction today, before rhule's poorly-coached team blundered its way to being completely pasted by a division rival at home.

tepper strikes me as a fool-me-once type and i'd be shocked if rhule isn't out this monday or next.

And pasted by a team with its starting  rb and two WRs out

I could see him being allowed to finish this season.

If he's given another year... Man... I just don't understand. I can't imagine Tepper is satisfied a the the teams progress lol.

    • Yea I have it.  When it flares it can be very severe.  I had an extended hospitalization a couple years ago and it took a while to recover.  Can’t imagine trying to deal with that as a pro athlete.  It’s hard enough as a desk jockey.
    • I think the difference is that The Golden Calf of Bristol and Cam were just big personalities with big time talent (The Golden Calf of Bristol just lacked any consistency, leading to most of us hating him because it felt like he pulled big plays out of his ass). Sanders is a good talent who is completely full of himself and the ego feels unearned. You should WANT to change the bad culture of the losing franchise you expect to go to as a top pick...but that's a thing you keep to yourself or articulate well enough that it doesn't come off as "we're doing poo my way, if you don't like that, don't draft me".  You don't create an entire room touting yourself as legendary when you did absolutely nothing legendary at the collegiate level. Nobody is going to be fondly remembering Shadeur Sanders the college QB. Johnny Football is there, Cam is there, Vince Young is there, RGIII is there, The Golden Calf of Bristol is there.   Sanders needs humility and to pry himself away from his father. His father is going to tank his career before it is even started.    Sanders may bounce around the league as a backup for a few years, he'll play in select games and look like a backup but he'll have that one game where he pops off and that game will be used to say "see?! He's great!" and then he'll get the start and never live up to that game again.
    • This came up from out of nowhere and sent me down a hole of FNM.   Dudes were amazing and Angel Dust was just peak
