Would a single person be upset if we traded down in the first and picked up an extra 2nd or 3rd round pick, then used every pick on offensive linemen? I know I wouldn’t.

Quality over quantity.  I want the very best LT the team can get its hands on.  Those guys are rare and hard to find.  Let's benefit from our horrible season by finally getting an instant starter at LT.

The 4th round pick is from Houston so it's at the top of the round.  A team can potentially get a starting interior lineman (G or C) at that spot.

With Christensen at LG and Moton at RT that would be some very good pieces toward building the OL.

Hold on there partner. WE beat the teams we are supposed to beat. That isn't the problem. Also we beat the Saints in one of those games when they beat an amazing team before. The problem didn't arise until we went to Dallas and faced a very good Defense and Darnold started seeing ghosts again.

I'll never get the people that get mad for beating bad teams. Those are the teams you're supposed to beat. like wtf.

Because good teams do to bad teams what the Bucs did to us. Good teams do to bad teams what the Cowboys did to us. Good teams do to bad teams what the Bills did to us. We are a bad team.

Congrats on beating the teams we were supposed to beat. We will finish 5-12. Super glad we barely squeaked out wins against those bad/depleted teams. That's my point exactly. The only teams we were supposed to beat were poo teams.

I will never understand how people accept subpar performance as long as we beat the bad teams. Nah, 5 wins a year doesn't satisfy me. Barely squeaking out a win against teams we know are poo tier isn't exciting.

If the 31 other teams in the NFL were as poo as the Jets, then no, it wouldn't be the problem. And as for your point about the saints team, they were missing 2 starting CBs, 2 starting WRs, their starting MLB, their starting center and a few dlinemen. We couldn't beat Alabama if we were missing that many key starters.

"The problem didn't arise until we played a good team" Just lol...

They won’t win next week anyway but the SOS trumps their win over us.

yes, this is correct

***********************************

NFL Draft tiebreaking procedures

Strength of schedule (SOS) is used to break any ties between teams who have identical records at the end of the season. The team with the lower strength of schedule gets the higher selection in the tie break. SOS is the aggregate winning percentage of a team’s opponents.

Tha fug? I said the problem didn't arise until we met a good DEFENSE. We faced a good team in the saints in week two. wtf. We also didn't just 'squeak' wins against them (Jags/Jets). WTF. What are you watching numbnuts?

GTFO here with that poo.

Evan Neal would be the dream, but Ickey or Linderbaum would be pretty damn satisfying too. Ekwonu could be a LT or he could be nasty at G. If Christensen can be trusted at LT, then Ekwonu at LG or Linderbaum at C would give us three very solid franchise pieces with Moton locked in at RT.

I think Brown will eventually be our RG in '22.

If Brown and Christensen pan out, we could in theory have 4/5 OL positions figured out.

Nope and I got blasted for even considering it lmao. We need quantity and quality.

Took the Rams trade but stayed put at 52 and at the top of the 3rd.

    • I mean, first of all, I'm not the one who initially said he was a life long fan, it was in that tweet in the OP. But more importantly, "life long fan" is a relative term, especially for a franchise like the Panthers.  I think anyone who was say, 10-12 or younger when the franchise started, and been a fan since the start, could claim to be a life long fan. I'm 38, been a fan of the team since year 1 even though I'm not even from the Carolinas, after almost 30 years of fandom and following them since the beginning, I have no issue saying I'm a life long Panthers fan. Very possible his dad is say around 40 years old and been a Panthers fan since the start.  And even if he's a little older, if you're a fan of a team for 30 out of your say 45ish years of life... that's "life long" in that instance.
