What are you going to do if Rhule turns it around next year?

I wonder if Jay-Z had to deal with this many Haters early on?

There is a lot of info out there that accuses Jay of being a fake. Just got lucky and fell into a rap career. Similar criticism to what Eric Church hears about being the furthest thing ever from what he sings about. An industry plant.

I will say that reasonable doubt is a hip hop classic and one of the best rap Albums ever produced

We keep Rhule and fix the oline.  Darnold turns out to be pretty good with protection.  Defense gets time to rest and plays elite.  We go the playoff and look like legit contenders.

Will your opinion of Rhule change?

Mang, you know as well as everybody else does:

Winning changes everything.

A turnaround would require Rhule to completely change how he coaches:  how he hires his staff, handles the offense, make adjustments, works the X's and O's, evaluates free agents, develops his young players, relates to grown adult players, etc.   Basically transform virtually everything about how he does his job.  Which is a pretty challenging thing to accomplish in just a few months (and with no coaching mentors to provide counsel).

Rhule is just really bad at his job.  I can't think of any aspect of NFL coaching that he does well.

    • Joe Person   @josephperson · 16m     Panthers become the 1st team this yr with 5 weekly winners: Rico Dowdle, Ryan Fitzgerald, Sam Martin, Tre'von Moehrig and Bryce. Panthers last did that in 2017: Cam Newton, Julius Peppers, Luke Kuechly, Jonathan Stewart and Damiere Byrd.
    • Gotta wonder if Smitty's brain has turned to mush with how hard he played in the NFL
    • OK, fair enough--however, since my point was that drafting a QB in the top 10 is stupid, if you consider the players who were not drafted in the top 10 or those who WERE drafted in the top 10 and did not secure starting positions with the team that drafted them, you should see the point.  Is it smart to draft a QB in the top 10 when only 4 are still starting for the team that drafted them.  Next, consider that half of that number, 2, were drafted outside the first round.  Next, there are 4 (Goff, Mayfield, Jones, and Darnold) who are starting on other teams after busting.   That number could increase as Arizona seems ready to move on from Murray, Miami is not sold on Tua, and jacksonville is still waiting for Trevor to start looking elite.  Bryce?   So to answer your question, there are MANY more QBs in the NFL who have busted and become starters on other rosters, were drafted after day 1, or are still on the cusp than the four who have become elite.  I thought that point was made.
