Frank Reich took his team to the playoffs in his first year as HC after not being able to even pick his own staff in 2018 and the Colts were 4-12 in 2017

Sean McVay took the rams to the playoffs year one of his tenure when the rams hadn't made it to the postseason since 2004. 

Kevin Stefanski took the Browns to the playoffs after a drought of 17 years

Matt Nagy (sucks) still took the bears to the playoffs with a 12-4 record after a year of 5-11

Brandon Staley in the playoff hunt year 1 of his tenure as HC of the chargers

Arthur Goddamn Smith has won more games in his first year with a poo roster and no offensive line than Matt fuging Rhule has in either of his first two seasons.

Rhule is trash and it's obvious. If Tepper can't see it or can see it and won't act on it then he's trash too.

There is no good argument for bringing Rhule back, zero and no the ultimate tank for 2023 is not a good argument. It is just more failure to heap on top of the massive pile of failures of the last 4 years. He should have been fired when he traded for Darnold, that was enough to say GTFO.

Rhule is a salesman. Tepper is football illiterate. He understands the word 'Winning' and now 'Losing', that's all I have seen. The practice facility wasn't even a football decision, there are freaking colleges that have those and he looks to be turning it into some hefty profit. 

I would still guess it's his ego vs it being the contract. Or worse, maybe he liked Rhule because he saw himself in the young salesman and just doesn't want to do anything about it at this time. I really don't know yet, it's all on the table for me. None of it looks positive yet.

I wouldn't be upset with missing the playoffs this year if the team was competitive but due to one or two pieces we just weren't there yet... But it isn't.  No identity, no toughness. It's a dumpster fire. Rhule needs to fuging go.

This is what I was saying in another thread.  There are only five or so coaches in the history of the league who turned it around after two bad seasons at the start of their tenure.  The ANALYTICS say that if you can't show good progress by year two, it's unlikely in the extreme that you will be the answer for that team.

I don't know how it isn't obvious to upper Panthers brass.
