Exactly. As much as I don’t care for social media, I’m sure some of this fanbase can get the word out about how unhappy they would be with Rhule being retained. The 9M Rhule would make for one more year would cause more damage than that in player and team development. There is no logical reason Tepper should even think about bringing Rhule back.

He would be an absolute Fhule to bring Rhule back.

Yes, cause I'm sure Tepper has just been waiting for anonymous people from the internet to advise him on how to run billion dollar organizations.

I just assumed that's what he has been doing all along.  I mean, look at the results so far.  Tepper can't be paying experienced professionals and getting this sort of results, can he?

Dave is due a refund if he is.

Been done before...

...zero impact...

...waste of funds while simultaneously lining the pockets of a really sh*tty newspaper 🤦‍♂️

Huh? That's not what I said at all.

Yeah that quote was pulled from @Toomers post, no idea how your name ended up in the header 👍

Making money and the valuation of the franchise is why Tepper is in this game.

In truth it's a hobby for Tepper, nothing more.

No different than a billionaire with a warehouse full of 37 Ferrari's and other exotics...

...if they go up in value that's nice but it has no material  impact his net-worth -- just as if the warehouse burns down and he loses them all, oh well that was fun.

two professional sports franchises would impact his networth.  Where he is ranked and viewed vs his peers.

Not in the least.

In the timeframe since he bought the Panthers -- in the markets Tepper has made a bit more than double what he paid for the Panthers...

...put another way, if making more money was a concern he would devote ALL his time to Appaloosa Management and NONE to the Panthers -- it's a hobby.

He's a 60-something guy who can't possibly spend all his money and is at a point in his life where he wants to have some fun -- fun for him is real life Fantasy Football 💣💥

PS...factoring in the opportunity cost for Tepper allocating his personal time/attention elsewhere, the MLS team is a massive money-loser for Tepper 🤣 -- again, a hobby.

agree to disagree.   These are investments.  It's what Tepper does.   It's all he really is respected for.

MLS won't be a massive loser.  The increase in valuation of professional sports teams has been insane over just a very short period of time.   Which is why Tepper parked his money in the Panthers....and it ups his status among his peers.

    • Saw this show up in my new feed. Nice to see a couple of our rookies making it into the top 5 so far, even if it is a pff measure... From https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-top-15-rookies-week-9-2025 ... 4. TE Mitchell Evans, Carolina Panthers (78.7) Evans struggled in the Panthers’ tight win over the Packers, finishing with a 41.8 PFF overall grade — third worst among tight ends this week. He was not targeted in the game and played only one snap in pass protection. He did log 15 run-blocking snaps, and although he earned a 68.9 PFF run-blocking grade in zone looks (seven snaps), his 39.0 mark in gap schemes (second worst for the week) dragged him down to a 46.6 PFF run-blocking grade overall — sixth worst for the week. Despite seeing zero targets over his past two games, Evans still leads the Carolina tight end group with a 74.3 PFF receiving grade. He has caught all nine of his targets for 90 yards, six first downs and two touchdowns. Evans also leads the Panthers’ tight end group in PFF run-blocking grade (72.2). He has recorded a 20.5% positive play rate across 175 snaps.  5. WR Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers (78.6) McMillan had a better day against the Packers, recording four catches for 46 yards. Most of that production came in the first quarter via two 16-yard catches — one of which he snatched from Carrington Valentine’s hands, who was in perfect position to break up the pass. McMillan accounted for three first downs on the day, although Green Bay was able to limit his impact after the catch, holding him to 0.8 yards after the catch per reception. McMillan now has 41 catches for 558 yards — a top-15 mark. He is also tied for second with 19 explosive gains of 15-plus yards. Three of McMillan’s catches against the Packers came between the numbers, bringing him to 22 for 318 yards and 19 first downs (tied for second most) this season. He owns a 26.1% threat rate and a 76.6 PFF receiving grade between the numbers. He also ranks in the top 10 in explosive gains (10) and yards after the catch per reception (5.5) within that area of the field.
    • At least we don't need to hear overreacting about towels ...
    • Actually there is, try being a Charlotte Hornets fan. I mean the team fuging moved at its peak and hasn't recovered since and that was 25 years ago
